i'm told said this weekend that coach meyer was jumping ship to coach the Jags and that they were going to draft Tebow in the first round to run the spread in the NFL.

1 - how can meyer guarantee that tebow will be available when it's the Jags turn to draft?
2 - can tebow run the spread in the NFL?
3 - can meyer run an NFL team as successfully as he runs an NCAA team?
4 - is having meyer and tebow enough to keep the franchise in Jax?

Hey now ; bullshit .

1. Why would Meyer do a dumb-ass thing like that after five years in Gainesville? Earn less, work harder, live in JAX instead of GVL, have to watch his back, be on TV less, win less? Deal with grown millionaires instead of kids who are breaking their ass to win ballgames?

Does anyone really believe that Urban Meyer has a boner for coaching in the NFL? Maybe someday, but now?

Bullshit. There is an instructive text on making this jump; maybe some of you have heard of it. It is called The Legend of Steve Spurrier. I think Coach Meyer knows about it.

This has to be a joke.

I will bet you every red cent I have to my name that Meyer will NOT be coaching the Jags or anyone else in the NFL next year.

I heard the tail end of this I think...maybe because I didn't hear the whole thing, I may have misinterpretted it but what I thought was that Terry was talking about Tebow playing for Jax (I assume because Jax needs a good QB and he is from there, well known there, etc...people would be more open to him there) and then I heard Jimmy Johnson say something like in order for Tebow to be successful in the NFL he's going to have to bring Urban Meyer and the rest of the team with him.

Meh...I'd be shocked if Urban went to the NFL...but if he does, so be it.

If we win it all this year, and at this point that "if" gets bigger with each game, I could see it as a possibility that he'd go to the NFL. Otherwise I'd put the chance in the single digits.
