The Orlando Sentinel had an article/column/blog or whatever I think yesterday that laid out all of the arrests

Looks like lots of charges dropped or reduced to basically nothing. Much ado about nothing, IMO.

But much like we would do if the tables were turned and we were discussing F$U or scUM we'd be all over them for lack of control and saying the charges were reduced because boosters pulled some strings. 24 arrests is a lot, regardless of how many charges stick.
Agreed, most of them were minor to start with and the more serious of them resulted in that player being released. I didn't read the article but does it say how many were former Zook recruits? Doesn't make it any better because we know the coach is responsible for the players on the team regardless of who recruited them or if the actions happened on or off of the field. Was just curious.

All I am saying is that the next time FSU or another school does something and Gator fans start screaming about suspensions or schools out of control they might want to look in the mirror.

Oh, no, I absolutely agree with that. But I'll be honest and say I'll take the wins over the squeaky clean image...if I start talking shit about a school for this kind of situation, I give everyone absolute license to rip me a new one for being a complete douchebag. I'll deserve it.

I love the wins. But he better crack down on this shit, because it snowballs. Arrest numbers > other programs > press perception > actually attracting thugs. There were thugs who went to FSU instead of UF because Spurrier didn't put up with that crap.

It is not an either-or situation. You can be a top 5 team and obey the damn law. The spotlight is on Meyer here, and it should be. It is not that hard to stay unarrested. Damn.

Also it seems that people remember good teams but they seem to remember the image of the program even more. UM was completely dominant in the late 80's and 90's but people don't mention the Canes without the word thug to this day.
