In their defense, his designs for various military applications left a lot to be desired. Screen doors on submarines, parachutes that opened on impact, etc.

I really don't want to see anything like that. I don't mind when I know it is fake in gore movies but I'm not sure I really want to see someone being killed like that. Call me a puss if ya want, I just have no desire to see shit like that.

After I saw in real life a man get killed when he was hit by a car doing about 60 mph, I worried less about watching this kind of stuff. Not that I always seek it out and watch it, but I do appreciate the aspect that it reinforces the horrors of the world for me. I don't like living in a dream world and sooner or later I end up feeling too insulated.
