neither UF or OU will win the MNC

was going to post this as a response in sliders 'dream on texas' thread but thought this deserved it's on discussion...my thoughts have been borrowed by many here so i'd like to acknowledge those who helped...slider of course for the original thread...toothy for his 'utah has a legitimate beef' post...aa for his conspiracy theories.
basically - i believe the NC will not be determined by thursday's game...i believe the outcry of how ineffective the BCS system is has gotten so popular and loud that even stalwart non-playoff supporters are starting to think playoffs aint such a bad idea...this season has produced a LOT of 1 loss teams that have legit reasons why they should be acknowledged...there's even an undefeated team that surely deserves consideration (todds words)...the coaches have been told to vote in the winner of thursday's game or lose their voting privileges...let's think about that...if you don't care for the system, who cares if your privileges are lost...really?
what we're going to see are 3 types of voters.
type 1 - the BCS supporter and believer that the system truly does produce the national champ ...will vote the winner of thursdays game
type 2 - the BCS non-supporter, wants change to the system and believes there are better ways to produce the national champ...will vote other than the winner of thursdays game just to prove to the BCS that the system is flawed...legitimate #1 contenders are utah, usc, texas
type 3 - the coach who is a company man and follows the directives of the BCS despite their personal views on how effective the BCS system really is
now is as good a time as any for the coaches to band together and create a situation in which the BCS would finally realize that their system has flaws (in the eyes of the coaches)...if you can get 20%-30% of the coaches to vote other than OU or UF, the BCS would foolish not to address this...the coaches will be able to change the face of how the national champion is decided by voting other than thursdays winner...there's really no better time to do it than now given the many options that one would have to vote....this opportunity for the coaches to make changes may not come ever again...it may - but never again as good an opportunity like this.
