Got an email from Scout:

Sources close to the situation have confirmed that Scot Loeffler will be named the next quarterback coach at the University of Florida. Florida head coach Urban Meyer said Saturday after practice that a new coach should be named soon. Loeffler will join the Gators via the Detroit Lions and previously with the Michigan Wolverines.

FightinGators.com learned Friday night of Loeffler, but decided to sit on the news after discussing with sources that it was in the best interests to do so. The news is out and we are confirming from our sources that Loeffler should be hired and made public within days.

Umm... I'm sure there's a good reason, not just cause Orlofsky (sp) was so good.

supposedly the guy recruited Tebow to Michigan and was the only reason Tebow went there.

Coached Chad Henne if that is the case.

Should be a good hire. Sounds like this guy really knows how to coach up QB's. He is probably more used to working in a pro style offense but I'm sure he really knows QB mechanics pretty well.

Detroit Lions? Um, the Michigan part of his resume is fine, but the Lions? They were 0-16 this year!

But they were 4-0 in the pre-season.
