It's be funny to fuck with the Bama fans like that considering it's a red state.

There is a guy I used to be good friends with -- he was in my wedding -- whom I have not spoken to since the 40-39 game in 1999, when he called me TWICE to holler and gloat after the game.

Having made this tactical error and hearing nothing but my stony silence on the other end of the phone, do you think you'd go on for three minutes the first call and two minutes the second singing Shaun Alexander's praises and general ignorant hoo-hah before you'd start going, "Toothy? Toothy? You okay, buddy? You're not pissed at me, are you? Toothy?"

I don't call up my nonGator friends and act an ass right after the Gators beat them, and I do not cotton to them calling me. I have not spoken to this guy in nine years.

Go Gators.

Bama fans were insufferable after they beat us in '99. They had always been tolerable before then.

No, over being an asshole. 40-39 I can live with. Being an asshole I cannot.

I wouldn't talk to him, either (unless he lived in the same town). I'd never call a friend of a rival team after a Gator beatdown...I know that if it were me, I wouldn't feel like talking and would probably throw my phone through the TV screen if some jackass were to call me to gloat after a loss.

That reminds me. After a losing effort in Tally one year we walked into a Subway. The sandwich artist said some smart ass comment to my dad and I. We just turned around and walked out.

My best friend at the college where I teach is a Buckeye, and I have always treated her with compassion.

Part of that is not calling her up the day after we own them again.

Bill and I met the night before that Bama game in 99...Good thing it wasn't a bad omen for us.

The guy that we are in a lawsuit with called Bill after that game and gave him crap though...he used to be the Equip Manager there with Bear. Obviously, we have not spoken to him in some time...non-Bama related.
