A little long. He knows how to bring it.
I said it on the other thread, but I admired McCain's speech enormously. I think there's still a John McCain in there who could have won this election. He has nothing whatsoever to do with any hokey Joe the Plumber horseshit, and I think that the John McCain inside probably has little more than contempt for Gov. Palin.

there was a lot of hurdles mccain had to overcome in this election to convince the nation he was the right man for the job....all this BEFORE having to understand the man and where he comes from.
mccain's speech impressed me also...but that's his gig...he knows how to be gracious and he gave the president elect his due...humility seemed sincere to me...i especially liked it how he discouraged the booing.
as for president elect obama's speech, i noticed a bit of a pastor-like twang...a MLK type shout and holler...a reverend-like rally speech....i hadn't heard the pulpit-type approach this whole campaign from him is all i'm sayin....
