I pmed Gone and basically told him I dont take sides on the story and that anything that happened in the past between the old mods/ rad crew isnt my business. I asked him politely to try to help us get past the issue and welcome rad/a1 back.
I said it much more eloquently =P but hopefully it will slow things down.

If we start deleting posts/ lock the thread then rads crew/gonefishin say that we are just like the old mods and we are hating on them.
If we let it go then we arent doing our job.

sorry, I had to step out for a sec.
perhaps we should unsticky it since rad already had his reply. if it doesn't die on its own we should probably lock it but with an explanation. a lot of the problem before was things getting locked with no explanation. if we show them logic, they can't argue. the logic is we have asked them numerous times to move on and they cannot, so, it's locked. if gone wants to start a new thread then he will be going out of his way to be a dick and it will be easier to call him on it...
what do you think? it is a rock/hard place but we can't show we're weak.

it is getting a little outta control at the pub. seems like its now overrun with the 'old crew' and not so much the new crew. and the old crew just wants apologies. this is beyond stupid.
i posted that its supposed to be a fun message board and can't we just get on with having fun, then someone follows with a smartass comment. bill tells me that 'rad IS the pub'......does everyone need to stand in line, take a number, and kiss his ring or something? i didn't know these people, so had no preconceived idea of what they're like, positive or negative. i hope they don't change my mind.

I also put no feces cause the other day abnormalone poste a pic of a toilet with some turds in it and I almost puked.

Ive been debating locking it all morning. By our listed rules it certainly doesnt break any but still it I dont think its the right thread for the pub. Good lock.

Honestly, although her "sorry if I offended anyone" thread is not a direct calling out of the mods, it is imo indirectly doing it.
I remember reading (and this may only apply to the paying customer forums) that if someone has a problem with something, that instead of making a big fuss in another thread, they were instructed to simply pm a mod for a reason.
all her thread is doing is cause dissension and with folks like TTBHG posting the thread that was the cause is only adding fuel to the fire.
now everyone thinks we are the freaking Gestapo.
maybe we should step in? thoughts?
we don't need to look like the villains just because some people get dealt with for breaking the rules of decency....

Now Jaggator is calling asking which mod or admin closed it down, That is unacceptable IMO.
I think that thread needs to be locked and baka needs to sticky a post instructing folks to PM a mod if they have questions. Repeat violations will receive infractions.

i think its a necessary idea to re-post the thread about pm-ing a mod if there is a problem. and giving warnings, and eventual bans if not paid attention to. they're not understanding we have sponsors here that don't want to be associated with a garbage board. seems like they are trying to push the envelope, in order to call us the tyrannical secret police or whatever. i noticed that with the princess erotica thread. got nothing against sex.....:devil:
but she's really got a one track mind. we have the Hole for the R rated stuff, and we get people in as soon as they're cleared...but i'll say right now, nothing personal, but before anyone says anything....she doesn't need to be added. maybe she's trying to do that, post naughty stuff in order to possibly prove she's hole material....because, maybe no one out there has proof, but we know they have their suspicions. i kept trying to do it subtle....end the erotica thread, by highjacking it with silliness, get it off track. but now there's this new one.....
so yeah, i think its a good idea to re-acquaint them with the idea that they can pm us with questions. maybe they won't like the answer, probably won't....but at least they're discussing it rather than backhanded insults thrown our way. i'm so glad i have four days off.

I found this description of PG-13 on teh intraweb also. Do you guys think it would help if we put this up?:

i think its a necessary idea to re-post the thread about pm-ing a mod if there is a problem. and giving warnings, and eventual bans if not paid attention to. they're not understanding we have sponsors here that don't want to be associated with a garbage board. seems like they are trying to push the envelope, in order to call us the tyrannical secret police or whatever. i noticed that with the princess erotica thread. got nothing against sex.....:devil:
but she's really got a one track mind. we have the Hole for the R rated stuff, and we get people in as soon as they're cleared...but i'll say right now, nothing personal, but before anyone says anything....she doesn't need to be added. maybe she's trying to do that, post naughty stuff in order to possibly prove she's hole material....because, maybe no one out there has proof, but we know they have their suspicions. i kept trying to do it subtle....end the erotica thread, by highjacking it with silliness, get it off track. but now there's this new one.....
so yeah, i think its a good idea to re-acquaint them with the idea that they can pm us with questions. maybe they won't like the answer, probably won't....but at least they're discussing it rather than backhanded insults thrown our way. i'm so glad i have four days off.

I'm thinking that we don't need it stickied as she wants but maybe it should stay for this reason: people will make a correlation between the obvious asshats that started the drama today and the guy who impersinated her. I mean, it worked for me. when I made the search I totally expected it to be rad or IHAT (I was actually dissapointed when it wasn't one of them).

I agree with deleting V's thread. She's pretty upset and understandibly so. But I feel like enough people has seen that thread and are up to speed with what happened and she was able to speak her piece. I was feeling that thread might get a little out of control, so best to stop it there.

I'm thinking that we don't need it stickied as she wants but maybe it should stay for this reason: people will make a correlation between the obvious asshats that started the drama today and the guy who impersinated her. I mean, it worked for me. when I made the search I totally expected it to be rad or IHAT (I was actually dissapointed when it wasn't one of them).

Anyway next time this happens again just let me know (or an admin) and we can prune posts/threads by username. Thats what I did to help clean-up although I think the robot is a lil aggressive in that it deletes every darn post made.

Yes, you can enter a username (towards the bottom) then when you submit it, it'll ask you if you want to mass prune or selectively do it. Try selective next time and see if it's not a hassle.

I'll give details when I get back. basically vanders made yet another (like the third on the front page) about rep, this one about "rules" for posting in the pub. this set off a some of the njerks, most notably IHATE and a few others. Doczaious gave g8tr96 neg rep with the message "I hope you die"-vanders. IHATE started a poll about who else thinks polls are gay etc. radbag took this oppertunity to crap all over the pub with about 25 threads like "what is your favorite color" "what is your favorite Bridge" etc. He filled up basically the first 3 pages of the pub. It was a mess. be glad you were at work lol

this is what I was wondering. I don't think rad should get away with clogging up the board. The dilemma is, as TBL pointed out, that he will get some minion to do it, especially if he is banned. It's tough. if we ban him then he will coordinate more pain in the ass raids and possibly be even a biggar problem then he is now. At least with him on as a member, we only need to deal with him on occasion, and since it is his name, he won't go too far. If he comes on as another name then there is no telling how far he would go. same goes for IHATE, only IHATE doesn't have a fanbase like rad.
I personally wouldn't mind seeing all of them gone, but we have to weigh the options here.

If it helps any, we now charge for basic registrations to the site, meaning if folks get banned, they're going to have to chip in $5 each time they register a new account. After awhile it gets expensive. [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif[/img]

maybe we can look at the roster and narrow it down somehow to a handful of people, maybe even ask Matt for his advice on who TTBHG is friends with. if we have suspect, then we can remove his access for a day and say something about ttbhg. if he doesn't get the message then we know who the mole is. I don't know, it's a pretty silly idea but it may work if we can narrow it down...
maybe we should wait to pm ttbhg until we firgure out something (if it's even possible to figure out something)

We've known for a long time that there was a mole in the hole. He was in one of the first groups admitted. I know that because I said something about the Weg (who had been MIA forever!) in the hole and she showed up either that day or the very next with her usually snotty comments.

I think we are in a tough situation. If we start banning people and seeing what happens, than its basically like a witch hunt and we could be in for some backlash. Im not saying that may not be the right course to ask but who knows, its a slipper slope.

knights, the problem I have with judging is with those half thong have normal numbers that cover the top of the but but then go thongish.
anything see through that shows nips and what not are bad. thongs of course, if we can ever get a clear fefinition of a thing , that is LOL. Since I'm not sure, I usually let the ones I first described slide. The problem is this damn cat and mouse, cops and robbers BS that we are forced to play with these people trying their best to push the limits. If you want, post a pic you are unsure of and we can all give an opinion. That way, even if the rules are somewhat vague, we can all have a better idea of what each oither thinks is appropriate and at least be consistent with our deletions...

lacuna is not offensive, i don't know why she took herself out, but if she chooses to come back in, is there a problem with that?
doc z...i have a problem with that. or da jacker, should that be z as well. as his little 'lol' commentaries have been inappropriate at times to say the least, not to mention the fact that on the 'old site' he was dogging this site pretty bad with his sig pic-a copy of the reason he was banned- like it was some sort of joke. don't care if he's in too hot, they live by their own rules, but please keep an eye on him in the pub.
aside from lacuna's 'tree' post, she's never been complained about by anyone has she?

I asked brave to block him from the pub. nana is ok with him in too hot.
If she didn't handle talking with him the way she did, I would have just re-banned him. But since it is what it is, then he will be allowed to stick around, just not in the pub.
Also, keep an eye on DaJacker. I suspect he might be Z as well....
EDIT: OK I'm damn near possitive Z is DaJacker as they share not 1, but 2 IP addresses.
with Omega blocked from the pub, expect a Jacker sighting soon. That should be confirmation, then we'll block that name too....

I made it permanent. It can be changed, but I don't see a reason to bring them back. We have given them countless warnings. No one should have to put up with that garbage. They will not be missed. Vanders' "Welcome MsUFLAWYER" thread got crapped all over with a string of venom and insults. Then TT starts a couple threads mocking the pub being "nice" to which we gave a quick death. TTBHG then puts a "banned" whateveryou call it in his signature.
Constantly baiting, calling out the mods, insulting posters and mods. They lay out an insult, pretend it's not, and then when a poster calls them on it they escalate it. Kind of like Bill Laimbeer in the old days clotheslining an opponent driving the lane, and then when the ref rings him up he flails his arms saying "What, what??".

This is just one of those events where you can have all the logical reasoning you want but your never going to turn the person to your opinion.
Reading through that PM I noticed a number of inconsistencies that have skewed her opinon:
-Growl never tied a ribbon on anything, he hasnt had much to do with pub administration since he assigned me and Bari to it.
-There has always been a good number of women threads and they have never had a problem coexisting with the warm and fuzzy ones. I know that there were a few people who would constantly bash the fuzziness, Rick and Moose, but obviously in the mods opinion we enjoyed having both types of posts on the boards which is why we always did everything to keep both sides happy.
-Her idea to Growl to put ALL the warm and fuzzy posts in the HoF and leave the pub for all the other posts is just not what this place is about. We never were trying to segregate, we want everyone to get along. Nobody here was trying to sugarcoat an agenda to push the warm and fuzzy people out. We were honest with them that the truth was we wanted to move the neverending threads somewhere so the pub could breathe.
I will agree with her on one thing though, Bari does have reading comprehension problems, and I believe he is somewhat homosexual. NTTIAWWT.

Luver has her viewpoint and nothing any of us can say will change that, unfortunately. That's why I forwarded that PM to everyone. I'm with all of you and agree that begging anyone to come back is not necessary. If they wish to return, then they will be welcomed back with open arms (which may happen yet)

I cleaned up Photos posts and deleted Darths reports in the ME. The **** just clogs the ME and is useless. I also PMed Photogator because this is the 5th nipple pic Ive had to delete. Either he doesnt look at his pics when he posts them or hes dense as ****.

This is just one of those events where you can have all the logical reasoning you want but your never going to turn the person to your opinion.
Reading through that PM I noticed a number of inconsistencies that have skewed her opinon:
-Growl never tied a ribbon on anything, he hasnt had much to do with pub administration since he assigned me and Bari to it.
-There has always been a good number of women threads and they have never had a problem coexisting with the warm and fuzzy ones. I know that there were a few people who would constantly bash the fuzziness, Rick and Moose, but obviously in the mods opinion we enjoyed having both types of posts on the boards which is why we always did everything to keep both sides happy.
-Her idea to Growl to put ALL the warm and fuzzy posts in the HoF and leave the pub for all the other posts is just not what this place is about. We never were trying to segregate, we want everyone to get along. Nobody here was trying to sugarcoat an agenda to push the warm and fuzzy people out. We were honest with them that the truth was we wanted to move the neverending threads somewhere so the pub could breathe.
I will agree with her on one thing though, Bari does have reading comprehension problems, and I believe he is somewhat homosexual. NTTIAWWT.
