BTW, I skimmed most of the newer stuff on the 46 page thread...but in reading this it seems as if Bari has been stripped of almost all of his powers....

I think PMC just didn't want Growl to think her PMC was part of the BA "plot" that they are so paranoid about. She wanted to simply file a complaint as a concerned GC Pubber.

I don't think that by Rad saying something about PMC's PM's to Growl necessarily points to her as a member in the BA...Rad is right in that everyone knows they are friends...nana and tbl and others all saw them socializing at the Bama game two years ago.

But because of all the flack about bari coming from the BA and then at the same time PMC sending a PM, they just ended up lumping her PM in with all the other complaints by "Rad's friends"...whether PMC was in the BA or not.

I dunno...just my take on it.

it's a good take on it al but believe me, compromising anyones position here is the last thing i want to do...i still don't understand how it is that my informing growl of my knowledge of a good friends feelings on the matter compromises anyones position.

everyone knows i've got a relationship with you pmc...bill knows it, growl knows it, shane knows it...my relationship with you is from the pub...no one i've mentioned knows it to be more than that (the BA).

i'm confused as to how my informing him that both a respected and a not-so-respected pubber are in agreement with what is going on?

You know they're ridiculously paranoid over there...the mention of anyone by you, pre-BA relationship or not, would cause them to jump to conclusions. It's silly, which is why I no longer visit GC. I didn't even bother emailing Growl to regain access to the sports forums.

No apology necessary!!! It's okay, as it made me do the right thing and I feel better. I hate controversy and usually avoid it at all costs, but I need to stand up for what I feel is right. Many people know that I am a "radbag" fan/ hero worshipper/ groupie! LOL! I'm so proud of that, and I'm so honored that ya'll let me hang out here! I love being in the BA!! Mom7's take is correct. I didn't complain/send the PM as part of a group effort, I was genuinely concerned about Bari's treatment of AU and Mom7, and he has been very sarcastic and cutting in many of his posts lately. This was the first time I complained, and I think you mentioned it to baka, that I sent a pm to Growl. That's no big deal, but after that, I think they didn't see my complaint as a real one, but then more of a joint effort by a BA member to "pick on" a GC admin/mod...Bari.

It's okay that Growl posted my complaint, as he didn't post my name, and mentioned that I wanted it to be private. He did say he was going to see if I was a BA member. I guess he would have thought I was part of a ploy when he found out anyway. No biggie, as Mom7 would say! I think it also showed others why I complained, as thanks to 95, I was able to show exactly what he said, which I think showed how offensive and sarcastic he was, for no good reason.

I need to be a big girl, and deal with the consequences of filing a complaint anyway. I am a person who absolutely HATES confrontations, runs away from them...am afraid of them. I need to grow up!!

Bari's responses were offensive, and I felt I just had to say something to someone about that. Seeing that he is an admin/mod, I knew I couldn't write to him, so I went over his head and sent the PM to Growl. I also thought that if a newer GC member read some of his posts in the Pub, that they would not see the Pub in a good light and might not hang around very long. I do like the Pub. It's a fun place usually, very nice people there for the most part, and it's the place where I met most of ya'll!

I sent Bari a PM tonight.....telling him why I wrote Growl...explained it all and in fairness to someone that I complained about, I told him that after thinking about it, that I should have sent him a PM first to express my concerns with his posts. I told him what I wrote to Growl. I told him why I was upset with his treatment of AU and Mom7, and that I thought that many of his posts lately seemed angry and negative. I told him that after his responses to AU and Mom7, I felt that I should express my concerns, and since he was an admin/mod, I couldn't PM him....that I sent a PM to Growl. I told him I should have pm'd him first, so that he could maybe explain/defend himself. I apologized for not trying to pm him first, but I did not apologize for my concerns.

I feel better being honest with him. I think that is what I would want from someone who is concerned about my posts/responses/treatment of others. I then sent a copy of the PM to Bari to Growl. Of course I didn't mention the BA or rad or anyone else. The dealings I have concerning this are not because I am a member of the BA, but because I am a member of GC and was offended by his sarcastic and cutting responses.

I guess I better go read page 46 and see what they said! Wow...I can't believe you can access those forums, rad! Incredible...

Naive is probably the correct word to describe me, rad! And... I didn't realize I went over baka's head also! I just don't know about the chain of command! I really don't! I don't pay attention to that stuff.

I don't participate in the antics because it is not my way of doing things, and I appreciate it that no one has asked me to do that. I'm not very good at that kind of stuff, and I honestly didn't think I had any problems with any of the people over there until lately. I just started feeling bad when I would read some of Bari's responses to others, and then when he attacked Mom7 and was so sarcastic to AU and others, I had to say something. First time for everything, I guess. In all these years I have never complained or expressed concerns. You would think that Growl would take that into consideration....that I was geniune with my concerns. Oh well....

It does make me feel bad and sad actually that the mods say things about people behind their back. Especially Growl. He is a leader there....should set a better example. I know that probably sounds corny to ya'll, but he is part of a respectable business, GC, and his words are disappointing.

The big elephant in the room right now on Too Hot is perceived racism because Obama is black. All levels of sensitivity are flying around making moderating the forum difficult. We've had threads dicussing racism and Obama's association with Rev. Wright that were hot and passionate...posts did not rise to the level of racism....if they had, they would have been deleted.

As with past elections, posters have assigned nick names to Obama...the same as they did to Gore and Kerry. Posters have chewed on and spit out Obama's record and stance on the issues, much as they did Gore and Kerry. The other side of the aisle did the same to Bush. The difference now is that Obama is black. If posters treat Obama the same as Kerry and Gore is that racism? No.

Too Hot posters have been staying on the right side of blatant racism and common decency. To allow Too Hot to remain what it is, using blatant racism and common decency as a guideline has been working.

i agree gman...i can't help but think that 'someone' has allowed me access for the purpose of banning me and everyone else who logged in under my name to view the forums...after all, sharing logins/passwords are punishable by banning is it not? i'm thinking that's the bird brain concocted plan by one of the braintrusts without their underlings knowing...yet another display of how the higher ups throw their own under the bus.

to understand the situation better, one needs to understand who we're dealiing with...we're dealing with a very ill individual who does this for his living...growl thinks the internet is his and we are all intruders...it'd be too easy just to disable our usernames...no tact and gamesmanship involved...rather, he'd like to do it in a way in which he can prove to all involved that he is the WIZARD of the internet....sad really.

again, i TRULY believe i've been coded incorrectly and that's the primary reason why i'm able to view...if there's a strategy to this, growl and only he is in on it...betcha not even shane is in on it.
