nice that the first two picks are set, hopefully it'll go a wee bit faster for the top 10.

Bucs picks have been okay. I like our first round pick, Aqib Talib. We needed a corner and it looks like he was the top corner in draft. If it wasn't him, I would have wanted Mike Jenkins, the corner out of USF.

Second round, taking Dexter Jackson out of Appalachian St is kind of baffling. Guy's got speed, but he's short. We traded down to take him at a later position, when he probably be around on the second day. I would have rather stayed in position or traded up to get Limas Sweed if we were going to go WR.

Dood, he was the best receiver available at the time if the Bucs were going in that direction. Otherwise, it's a deep field for WR this year, so we could have also waited for later rounds to take a Bubba Caldwell or a Mario Manningham or someone like that rather than the short fast kid.

And P.S. Belated congrats to D. Harv and the Jags. They got themselves a good one. I may have to start paying more attention to the Jaguars, what with all the Gator boys they've been putting on the roster.

And a big Nelson Munz Ha Ha! to FSU, who went the entire first day without getting a player drafted. Heckuva talent pool Bobbah's compiled there of late.

I about crapped my pants when the Iggles traded their first pick. Then I had a hissy fit when they traded their second. But it worked out okay. We got that Laws kid from Notre Dame, who is supposed to be a solid DT. And we finally drafted a wide receiver. It only took us about three years of needing one for Andy Reid to do it, but I am thrilled we ended up with DeSean Jackson. He's a talented kid. I was surprised he was still on the board.

But I am not thrilled about this:

During one of the trades, we ended up with freakin LORENZO BOOKER. WTF?!?!

a1, dexter jackson isn't just fast, he's F A S T. katie, super steal with desean jackson, he needs to eat a lot of cheesesteaks up there before a stiff wind knocks him over.

didn't go to the agency today, had to pretend to study, but they had 4 guys go in the 4th round. matt flynn hasn't gone yet; I wish I was there to hear what the deal is with that. they knew he was slipping, but damn!

Lilah, I know what you mean about DeSean needing to eat some cheesesteaks. He is SKINNY. But he'll put on some weight . . . Philly is good for that.

And the Packers are just stockpiling quarterbacks in this draft.

I'm so happy for that kid from Army. I hope he does well in Detroit.

I'm sure Derrick Brooks may have had something to do with that.
