Louis Murphy has assumed the leadership role for the wide receivers. With Percy Harvin being most likely out for the spring, he is using this time to build chemistry with quarterback Tim Tebow that will help the offense in the fall.

Q: “How has the spring been for you?”

A: “It’s going pretty well so far. I’m just focusing in on some little things.”

Q: “Do you feel like you’ve matured in the offseason?”

A: “Oh yeah I definitely feel that. I’ve got a good hold of the offense.”

Q: “How good can the tandem of you and Percy be this year?”

A: “We can be real good, just as good as the best receivers to ever come through here. We’ve just got to keep working on getting chemistry down with Tim.”

Q: “How good are these cornerbacks looking so far?”

A: “They look much better. They’ve got some new techniques and coverages from Coach Bedford.”

Q: “What have you seen out of Deonte Thompson?”

A: “He’s going to make a big impact. He’s stepping up. He’s playing the position I played last year and he’s learning it. I’m running the spot that Bubba was at last year.”

Q: “How do you feel about running out of that position?”

A: “It’s a big role, but I’ve been working hard and I’m going to take on the task.”
