Finch talks about rotating between linebacker and safety in spring practice and getting healthy
Q: “How’s this spring been going for you?”
A: “It’s been a successful spring so far, considering I’m trying to get healthy after injury.”
Q: “Are you playing linebacker or safety right now?”
A: “I’m going back and forth between the two right now.”
Q: “Which are you more comfortable with right now?”
A: “Definitely playing back (at safety). Last year was my first time ever playing linebacker. I didn’t really have the position down, so I just went in there and tried to make some plays.
Q: “Do you prefer either position?”
A: “I just want to make plays. It really doesn’t matter to me. I just want to be on the field.”
Q: “How do you feel as far as your health?”
A: “I’d say I’m a good 85-90% right now. I’m going to continue to get better.”
Q: “Does that keep you a little tentative on the field?”
A: “Yeah it does. I’m working through it though.”
Q: “What upperclassmen have been helping you out on the field?”
A: “Dorian (Munroe) especially, but all the safeties have been helping me out. Coach Heater has been great too. I’m continuing to absorb it all in and get better at either position.”
