You don't think? I think it will weigh on him and weigh on him until about half way through training camp and then he won't be able to stand it any more. He will miss it too much. Guys like him, you can't get that out of your system. We shall see though.

just like michael strahan does it...he retires...then after training camp breaks, he 'un-retires'...just so he doesn't have to participate... it's true.

I wouldn't compare the two Rad. Strahan does it to get out of training camp. I think Farve really thinks he is done. However, when he turns on Sportcenter when training camps are happening, when he stops by the Packers training facilities to see the guys that is when it is going to hit him. I think there are more battles in that man. I hope he comes back one more time. It is a joy to watch him play the game. I am not a Packers fan, but I love Brett Farve. He is an icon.

I think Rodgers will do well. He filled in quite nicely for Favre in the Dallas game, and he looked impressive against the Titans this past preseason (I know...preseason against the Titans). I'm glad I was able to see Favre play before he retired...he wasn't in the game long, but I got to see him show off his arm on a deep ball. I'll miss the guy.

Im watchin the press conference right now and it's killin me. I dare to say that if you don't like Favre your unAmerican. I am going to miss watching him on Sundays. I guess I can consider myself lucky to see him play once. The guy seems to be the real genuine deal.

I hope they have it up on the net shortly. I really wanted to watch it. I read a fantastic piece written about him yesterday. I will find it again and link it up. It dealt with him as a person instead of the football stuff. His wife's cancer, his struggles with addiction and such. Awesome, awesome piece and very well written.
BTW. Farve has to be in the top 2 or 3 sports guys that you would love to sit down, have a beer with and bullshit for a half hour, no?

Oh yeah TT. The way he seems to be a good ol' boy from Mississippi is pretty cool. I remember the Oakland game the day after his dad passed and I think that is one of my favorite sports moments period. The way his teammates and everything just came together that night. I don't think there will ever be another like him.

I watched every second of that game, as did most of America I believe. I remember when he started breaking down and crying. I almost lost it. It was amazing what he did just one day after the loss of his father.
