It would be nice to win another game or two before SECs -- on the other hand, this is a rebuilding year, and tough times breed toughness. We weren't gonna win it all.
I know folks think it's heresy to say this, but there are years where the NIT seems like a better deal developmentally than the NCAA. The Gators, unless we see some huge resurgence, are likely one-and-done in the NCAAs. They could do some damage in the NIT, though, and gain some useful experience playing three or four win-or-go-home games in a row.

A win at UGA is mandatory. If they win at UGA and manage to beat Miss St at home I think they are in with losses to UT at home and UK at Rupp. If they can't manage to beat MSU, then they will need a win or two in the SEC Tourney.
Personally, and I know this was discussed on GC, I'm all for going to the NCAA Tourney and being one and done instead of NIT bound...unless you can tell me they will win the NIT. Especially if they are going to be an 11 or 12 seed. I mean, you are kind of expected to be one and done versus when UF was a 5 seed and was expected to win a couple.

“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.

I want us in the NCAAs. I thought the NIT was for FSU?

While there is some merit to going to the NIT's because the boys would get more experience, I think it would do well for their psyche to make the NCAA's. Make them more hungry next year after they had a taste of the big dance.
