I LOVE THIS QUOTE:
Florida is a young team, depending on five freshmen and three sophomores. But Odom said it was his team that looked more rattled down the stretch.

“They play with a very high basketball IQ. And in the clutch I’m not sure we do,” Odom said. “We’ve got to play more cerebral basketball in the clutch.”

Or as Downey put it: “You can say they’re young but they’ve still got Florida across their chest. Billy Donovan’s a great coach so he’s not gonna let them fold. They just kept grinding, kept grinding, kept grinding.”

I'm liking that our basketball program has reached the point where opponents say "they still have Florida across their chests". Starting to get some respect. At least within our own conference.

Huge credit to Billy on what he's done with these kids this year. I think it also helps having a kid as mature and smart as Jai Lucas and the background that he has from his dad and older bro.

They play like freshmen at times...but they damn sure look like they work their asses off to win games. Concur w/rad...and that "grind" mentality can be hard to teach.

I really like Downey's quote. Says alot about the determination of our young lads.

Exactly...that is huge. I didn't realize the program (ie Billy's coaching) had that type of weight.
