Recruiting Ramblings 1-14

I want to touch on a few things since we haven't been able to get a hold of the Texas duo of Cyrus Gray and Adrian Bushell.

First, just a matter of time until we make it official with Pridemore, we at gator Country just want to honor his wishes. You guys need to trust me when I say that Pridemore is believed to be the real deal. He is not a throw in to get Omar Hunter, as a matter of fact he was flat offered after Jonathan Meyers committed to Princeton and before the staff knew Omar was even interested.

I have read everything on Lerentee McCray and so I know what you guys are reading, still I feel very good about him as you will see below.

Here is the plain truth about Zebrie Sanders, he even told me this. He had over two months to commit PUBLICLY to UF and didn't. He was told there might be a day when there wouldn't be a spot if he didn't go public, and he still ignored it. I did not realize it at the time, but he did not look like all he was made out to be in Orlando (see his stock dropping on ESPN rankings), and so, basically he missed his shot. He knows it, everyone around him knows it. He would have been better off saving face by finding another school that he liked and had a Gator and Georgia hat on the table. Now he can't even do that. By the way, it was the same for Georgia and him.

I honestly don't know what TJ Lawrence is going to do. If I had to venture a guess right now, I would say he is trying to get Florida to drop him, so he doesn't have to do it. I could be reading this one all wrong, but it really looks like the AJ Jenkins scenario all over again. If UF gets a few more commitments there might not be room anyway.

I think it was nothing more than a bunch of Georgia fans woofing it up over Omar Hunter early in the week. Even if he wore Georgia gear, he grew up a Georgia fan so likely has some UGA gear in his repertoire. and he has not gone public anywhere yet. I have many reasons to believe he will be a Gator on signing day.I believe defensive end Chaz Sutton is going to be in this class now. His grades are nothing that Franklin Green's are.

Defensive end Keith Wells may make it in on the last weekend for a visit, that is to be determined, but I hear the staff is talking to him again.

Below is my adjusted list of guessing the remaining guys fitting in this class. This is just a guess based on my informed opinion. I have been wrong, so this is not gospel. This is recruiting, anything can change, but below is the order that I believe.

I feel pretty confident about 1-5, after that there could be a lot of changes as we go along.
1 LB Lerentee McCray
2 DT Omar Hunter
3 LB Ramon Buchanan
4 DE William Green
5 OT David Young
6 CB Brandon Harris

11 WR TJ Lawrence
12 WR Khiry Cooper

17 Surprise OL
18 DE Keith Wells
19 RB Darrell Scott
