Well my dream of a complete and total BCS clusterfuck is coming to fruition today! BWAAHHHHAAAAHHHHAAAA!!
Couldn't have happened to a bigger bunch of idiots - the guys who dreamt up this stupid system that is.
Is there anyone in the US, short of these guys, who actually like this current system?
My goal every year is that if the Gators cannot win it all, I want the BCS as fucked up as possible. Remember, you can't spell BCS without BS.
And one other thing - if Georgia backs into this BCS title game without winning its conference, then the whole system is truly fucked!

I prefer this system to a playoff and prefer the old system to this one.

i prefer this system as it provides a 'market' so to speak...everyone's got an opinion and it stokes great conversation.
i prefer the playoff system as it provides definitive-ism.

^^^debatable.
If Central Michigan (in the Wetzel thing) was to knock off their opponent (the #1 seed) the is it definitive? Or did some bumbling team get lucky one saturday?

Yeah, there is no way UGA should be in it since they didn't even play in their Conference Championship. But I am on the fence....I would love to see a playoff...Ihate to answer your question, that's how it is now...UGA got lucky one Saturday afternoon...don't you think if UF played them tomorrow they would win? What about all the other upsets that happen all year...UT beat UGA to get into the SECCG and UGA was the better team at the end of the season. So who knows, I guess.

i think once you get in the playoff system, the season means nothing anymore but for seedings.
so if 16 knocks off 1 out of sheer luck, it will likely lose in the next round and that's that. if not, it deserves it's place as it's knocked off number 1 imo.

I think with the playoff, it changes the idea of what definitive means. I mean, was George Mason in the Final Four? Damn right it was. Simple as that. Did Central Michigan take out (who was it, Missouri?) Damn right it did. #1 team, if you can't beat the sixteenth seed, quit whining and laying claim.
I mean, that's for the Vols.
