No way in Hell! College Station Texas is one of the biggest shitholes in the US. Not much in the way of golf there either.

Plus the alumni there are loud and vocal - probably moreso than anywhere else Spurrier has been. While I think he would relish playing Bob Stoops at OU every year, I don't think that's enough for him. Quite frankly, I think SOS is waiting for his invitation to Augusta National so that he can retire.

Spurrier will not go there.

I thought I heard that a membership at Augusta was part of his SC deal?

This is a big deal on the intraweb. There are threads about this on both of my UK sites

I concur. I really think this is his last coaching job. Unless Urban keels over and dies.

Was it? I'm not sure. I thought I remember reading somewhere that the membership was something he REALLY wants, which implied to me that he didn't have it.

He has said that he doesn't want to coach in his 70's. Personally, I hope I hold up as well as he has for being in his 60's.

I agree about Urban.

I don't see it happening. A move from SC to A&M is lateral. Check that...it's actually a step down. SOS wouldn't like the location as much, and the Florida kids would be less likely to go to A&M.

Yeah, I think South Carolina is the last stop on his coaching train.
