Urban Meyer was all over Moore after he took/missed the snap.
It looked like a high snap to me and not all Moore's fault. Was Meyer irate because Moore didn't recover the ball or should Moore have been closer to the center to take the snap?
Moore also appeared to be isolated back there with Tebow having departed to the right. Did they intend Moore to rush straight up the middle or maybe swing the ball out to Tebow to run for the yardage. Since it was 4th and 2 ( I think) I can't imagine Tebow receiving the ball and going for a deep pass. I didn't see Harvin coming into motion for a reverse play otherwise he might have been able to recover the ball too. I don't have DVR, does anybody have any thoughts on where that play was intended to go?

he DID recover but i'm ASSUMING that meyer thinks moore didn't make an aggressive try to catch the errant snap. it was high no doubt...moore imho didn't really make a strong attempt to try and catch it...kinda just waved at it imho...but the ball was snapped with ZIP too so it's tough to fault the kid....tebow taller, moore shorter...dunno if there's a correlation...one thing is for sure, it did not ingratiate him to meyer that's for sure
as for tebow shifting to the outside...was more of a decoy on the few plays we DID get off...looked liked they were designed single wing type run plays off tackle...a few designed for moore and one or two designed for both james and harvin...good plays imho but defended nicely.

That's right he did recover, we got pushed back out of the red zone though.
Sucks for Moore - in Meyer's doghouse, I have visions of him being the waterboy at practice this week.

LOL. Shame is he seems to have been running hard at times. I wonder if he's fumbled a lot in practice, probably never would have made the field at all if he did though.

Maybe DeShawn Wynn can offer some advice about Meyer's doghouse.

i understand protecting the ball is paramount, but at what point do you have to take into account a fragile psyche? maybe if we didn't yank him after every mishap they wouldn't happen as often. you can't play scared at the D-I level.

Snapping to a guy that's like 5'9 (somewhere around there) and snapping to Tebow, who is like 6'3, is going to be different. The ball was definitely snapped high. On the flip side, Moore has always fumbled a lot.

The snap was a little high, but it's not like Moore had to jump (or even completely extend his arms) in order to bring it down. He had his hands on it...should've caught the damn thing.
