The case against starting Florida cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy has been dismissed by the State Attorney’s Office due to a lack of evidence.


Purifoy had been facing a misdemeanor charge of possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. He was cited on Feb. 6.

“He never had any marijuana on him, therefore he was not guilty of possession of marijuana,” said Huntley Johnson, Purifoy’s attorney.
