Traffic Accident in China Saves Hundreds of Cats

Think of all the lol cats!
A truck hauling over 1,000 cats stuffed into some 40 cages was involved in a traffic accident in Changsha, the capital city of China's Hunan province, giving local animal activists time to free them.
Care for Chinese Animals reports that the cats, which were stuffed 25 a piece into some 40 cages, were being shipped to Guangdong province to be sold to restaurants for slaughter.
While the truck was stranded by the side of the road, a call went out through the social network Weibo for Changsha residents willing to help save the cats.

Uuuuuhhh! Nice one rock!
How drugged up are these dang cats to cram that many into cages? There isn't enough money to pay me to stuff the little bastids into a cage. I've been bitten and clawed enough to know I wouldn't touch the critters without full body armor and extreme hand protection.

You know, for the most part Western society gives other carnivores a pass when ordering dinner. Why don't Asians?

I have noticed that. Omnivores (people) don't eat carnivores, just herbivores and plants.
For exotic foods, I have had pork kidneys (and liver), frog legs, cow tongue, beef tripe, and gizzards. Scorpion once I believe.
Believe it or not, I do not eat chicken - it's very repulsive to me.
