The Florida offense has been maligned for much of this season, more so over their last five games where they have really struggled to score. Things were much different on Saturday in Tallahassee where Florida defeated FSU 37-26. Florida's offense came out on the opening drive of the game and established a game plan designed to keep FSU's defense off-balance. The plan worked to the tune of 394 total yards, including 244 on the ground and controlled the time of possession for 36:20.

Will Muschamp was very apologetic for the team's competent play on offense after the game. "That's not who we are. I don't know where that came from. We looked like ourselves in the third quarter--dumb penalties, turnovers, struggling to pickup first downs. That's us. Not what you saw in the first half or the fourth quarter. Especially the fourth quarter."

Trailing 20-13 in the fourth, Florida scored 24 consecutive points to win comfortably. The outburst was aided by strong running from Mike Gillislee and Matt Jones who both had touchdown runs of 37 and 32 yards respectively. "I'm very disappointed in our team about that fourth quarter. Twenty-four points is unacceptable," said an upset Muschamp.

Quarterback Jeff Driskel shared his coaches sentiments on the offense's play. "I'm not sure what we could have done differently. I felt like we had our usual rhythm going in the third quarter. I was trying my best. Did you see that intentional grounding call and the fumble on the read play? I could've done more, but it is what it is. We'll learn from this and try to regress more in the future."

Muschamp added, "We've got a month to get this corrected before the bowl game. I assure our fans it will be. I think what you saw today was just a product of playing an ACC defense and one that's coached by Mark Stoops, who's like the Fredo of Stoops brothers."

Notes: It was officially announced last night that Notre Dame is back, while Florida State will have to wait another year or ten...Dominique Easley rode Florida State's horse, Renegade, back to Gainesville where the two bonded and got drunk. Easley has no plans to return the horse and told FSU officials if they want him, they'll have to come get him. Officials are currently looking for a new horse...Trey Burton attempted to toss a towel to a teammate after the game, but it ended up in a trash can on the other side of the locker room...Attendance was 83,429. Pretty pathetic that FSU couldn't fill their stadium to capacity at 83,430... Next game: Sugar Bowl on January 2nd vs. please be Oregon, please be Oregon, please be Oregon. Make it happen BCS officials. Find a way. Also, fuck Lane Kiffin, you stupid twat.

That was so satisfying last night.
“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.

Indeed it was. Outside of about 6 minutes during the third quarter, we totally dominated those assholes. Not even the homer refs could stop us completely.

I was just thinking about the refs and here are the huge "mistakes" that I caught:

1. The horse collar on Purifoy during the first quarter. I'm not sure of all the ins-and-outs of the horse collar rule, but it looked like a pretty dangerous tackle to me.

2. The later helmet-to-helmet hit on Purifoy during the kickoff return. Pretty blatant.

3. The Nole OL was holding all damn game and I don't think there was one call. There was a really obvious hold on the Noles' last touchdown run where I screamed at my TV. The Gators got called just about every time.

4. The catch that was pretty obviously in-bounds but then got overturned after review. All the angles on the TV showed his feet were completely in-bounds.

5. The phantom pass interference call on Roberson was the worst call, however. I mean, come on, he never touched the F$U receiver until the receiver actually pushed Roberson down.

Still, it was a great day to overcome THE ADVERSITY ON THE FIELD.

LOL at Muschamp's post-game quote:

“We had a lot of confidence coming in here being able to run the football. We’ve run it well versus everybody. We’ve run it well versus better defenses.”

You want to do that, take it somewhere else. You have boards of your own where you can do that. FSU has a conference title to win and a BCS bowl to go to still and can still end up with 12 wins this season.
