Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley has had enough problems on the field without having to deal with epic failures off of it.

Already feeling the heat from an incensed fan base brought on by an 0-5 conference record, freshman Omari Phillips is suspended indefinitely, “due to a violation of team rules”.

After checking Twitter – always a great place to start when it comes to these teenage players – it now looks like Phillips added some fuel to the fire under Dooley’s hot seat.

Phillips was famously rejected from the University of Florida for his poor academic work, and after taking some time to right the ship he was accepted at Tennessee — insert your favorite ‘Vols fans have no teeth’ joke here.

The former four star recruit has only played in one game, recording zero tackles against Georgia State. He has voiced his frustrations, not to his coaches, but rather with a hashtag at the end of his venting.

“having regrets and knowing that your first decision was the best decision is probably the hardest thing to deal with #FLORIDA.”
The tweet has since been removed, and Dooley is saying all the right things about how Phillips is working on his personal character and blah blah blah.

What do you think the chances are of current high school recruits picking Tennessee over Florida after that?
