Gators Lose On Purpose To Avoid Playing Crimson Tide In SEC Championship

In what some are calling, "The World's Largest Outdoor Shitshow," the Florida Gators committed six turnovers in their demoralizing 17-9 loss to the reviled Georgia Bulldogs. The Gators came into the game needing to beat the Bulldogs to secure the SEC East crown, but the loss now puts Georgia in the driver's seat for the East. Standing in Georgia's way of reaching Atlanta are Ole Miss (lol) and Auburn (LOL), if they win those games (they will), then they are in (they are--no need for formalities).
If anyone felt like Florida was giving the game away, they were right. Addressing the media after the game, Will Muschamp told reporters that his team lost on purpose to avoid playing the top-ranked Albalmla Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game. "I know the fans wanted us to beat Georgia and I understand that, but I've got to do what's best for my team. The University of Florida hasn't exactly done so well against that school from Tuscaloosa the last three times."
In Florida's last three games against the Tide, the Gators have been outscored 101-29 and have suffered two deaths--Urban Meyer in 2009's 32-13 loss in Atlanta and John Brantley in last year's 38-10 loss in Gainesville. "We don't want any part of them," said quarterback Jeff Driskel, who replaced the deceased Brantley against Alblmlala last season and was nearly murdered himself. "We played the way we did by design. This team may do a lot stupid stuff on the field, and boy, did we ever yesterday, but we're not THAT stupid. They're Georgia's problem now. The fans will thank us later."
Muschamp reiterated that Florida still has a chance for a very good season and could still even play for a national title. "Hey, we're still in position to have an outstanding season. A lot could happen. If all the teams in front of us lose and Georgia gets crushed in Atlanta, we could fall on our heads into the title game. Although, now that I think about that, we'd probably have to play the Tide, soooo, if any of the officials from the Sugar Bowl are listening, the Florida Gators would love to play in your fine city against someone from the Big Ten or Big East."
After learning that Florida threw the game, Georgia head coach Mark Richt began contemplating if he should lose one of the next two games to send Florida to Atlanta. "I don't think that's right what Florida did. That hurts the integrity of the game, but I may do the same, just to teach them a lesson, but then again, do I want to get embarrassed in Atlanta or be on the hot seat again?"
Notes: Jeremy Foley said after the game he thinks it is time for the game to be moved from Jacksonville. "It's an unfair advantage for Georgia, they get to take a nice plane ride and we're stuck on buses and we have to play in the same stadium as the Jaguars and Jacksonville is practically in Georgia. It's time we make this a home-and-home series. I don't know why I didn't listen to those whining Georgia fans sooner."...Ronald Powell continues to have a quiet season...Jarvis Jones' seven sacks in two years against Florida are the most by a Minotaur in that stretch against the Gators...Florida's six turnovers really aren't that bad when you realize they could have made ten...Fuck Georgia...Attendance was 84,644, making it the largest crowd ever to witness two homeless men fighting over a boot...Next game: Missouri at home. Kickoff is at Hammer Time and will air on Hulu.com.
