Yeah, that's been all over the news here recently.

Some guys at my church killed a 450 lb. alligator last Friday night. It was around 11 feet long. They said they put 7 shots in its brain and a Bowie knife and it still tried to walk and get out of the boat with a 200 lb. man sitting on its back.

You can apparently harvest one small gator and one big one, and they already had a five footer in the boat when they were reeling in the big one. Somehow in the chaos the small gator got a claw around the trigger of the rifle that was sitting on the floor of the boat and fired it. Luckily the bullet just went through the boat causing a small leak. But it was a scary moment for all involved.

The largest American Alligator was 19.6 feet I think.

Not quite the same as the Saltwater Crocodile.

On the other hand, I don't think I'm gonna swim in the Niger River anytime soon. I'm not a Niger lover.
