Florida's quarterback controversy looked to be over three weeks ago when Will Muschamp named Jeff Driskel the starter the week of the Texas A&M game, but things have changed following Florida's 38-0 win over Kentucky. Muschamp has now named Jacoby Brissett the starter after Brissett relieved Driskel in the fourth quarter and handed the shit out of the ball twelve times. Not once did Brissett attempt a pass. In addition to the twelve immaculate handoffs, Brissett went HAM, carrying the ball twice for four yards and a score and finished the win with two kneel downs that really impressed his head coach.

"Jacoby did everything we asked him to do," said Muschamp in his post game conference. "He's earned this opportunity. I was impressed with his poise and his ability to execute the offense and most importantly, he sealed the victory for us with those two kneel downs to end the game. He's showing his maturity. I don't know if he does that a year ago. Hell, I don't even remember if we had an opportunity to take a knee at the end of a game last season."

Driskel was disappointed to hear about his demotion, but understood there was a good possibility that this would happen at some point this season. "It is what it is," said a sullen Driskel. "I just didn't play that well today. I missed some throws high and I threw my first interception. You gotta hand it to Jacoby, though. He came into that fourth quarter and saved my butt and this team by doing a helluva job handing the ball off and scoring that momentum changing touchdown to put us up 38-0."

Earlier this season, it looked as if Brissett would be the one transferring, but now that he has lost his starting job, it appears Driskel will be the one to transfer. He said he wasn't sure where yet, but that USF is definitely on that list because they have to be.

The Gators will have two weeks to get Brissett prepared for LSU. This will be his fourth career start and second against the Tigers. In last year's game at Baton Rouge, Brissett finished 8/14 for 94 yards with 1 td and 2 ints as Florida got trounced 41-11.

"I'm just blessed. I'm thankful to the coaches for giving me this opportunity and my teammates for being supportive. I'm going to work hard and hopefully this year will be a different outcome against LSU because man, last year we suuuuuucckkked. I didn't know what I was doing. I was all like, 'Ahhhh!' And LSU was all like, 'Grrrr!' And I was like, 'Ahhhh! Here's the ball! Don't hurt me!' It wasn't fun," said Brissett.

Notes: Kentucky received $475,000 to come to Gainesville and play...Trey Burton did not play after all 500 Kentucky football fans signed a petition banning him from playing against the Wildcats...Dominique Easley sat out with a swollen dick from dragging it around...Jared Lorenzen sat at home with a swollen body from years of a poor diet and karma...Attendance was 87,102. Only one Kentucky fan attended and he was camping outside the O'Connell Center for the Wildcats trip to Gainesville on March 9, 2013...Next game: Oct. 6 vs. LSU at home. Be sure to wear your tinfoil hat to accommodate Les Miles. Kickoff is at it hasn't been announced o'clock and will be televised on The Fuck If I Know Network.
