A bunch of Gator swimmers return to the pool today. All five that competed in this morning's prelims are advancing to the finals or semi-finals.
In the men's 800 free relay, Conor Dwyer helped the American team take the number one seed for tonight's final. He had the best split on the relay team. Ryan Lochte did NOT swim in the event this morning, but he will undoubtedly be swimming in the final. Sebastien Rousseau and Darian Townsend also helped South Africa advance to the final in this event.

Conor Dwyer, left, will probably swim in tonight's 800 free relay; Lisa Raymond, right, will face her first competition of these Olympic Games today.
In the men's 100 free, the Fraser brothers both advanced to the semi-finals. Brett tied for the sixth-fastest time and Shaune qualified 16th. Both swim for the Cayman Islands.
In the women's 200 butterfly, Jemma Lowe advances to the semi-finals for Great Britain. She qualified with the fourth-fastest time.
Former Gator Clark Burckle (who transferred to Arizona), made the semi-finals in the men's 200 breast.
Abby Wambach and Heather Mitts return to the soccer pitch to take on North Korea.
Finally, Lisa Raymond makes her debut in these games. She and doubles partner Liezel Huber will face Poland in the second round, after receiving a bye in the first round.

You know, watching Phelps in these Olympics, Clary was probably right. But he still should have kept his mouth shut.

I've actually been enjoying watching these Olympics, even knowing the results before I get to see the events. Allison Schmitt was awesome in her race last night, her choice of colleges notwithstanding. The men's medley race kicked ass. And our women's gymnastics team, for a bunch of midgets, are serious badasses. If you didn't see that vault by McKayla Maroney, you missed out. She stuck that thing perfectly and should've gotten a perfect score.
And Logan Tom is still the hottest, most psychotic looking athlete we have.

If you watch the replay of Maroney's vault, you can see one of the judge's mouths literally hanging open.

This post and photo is coming up really high in the Google results for "mckayla maroney ass," and consequently I'm seeing a lot of traffic viewing this thread.

She's got nice tits for a 17 year old gymnast.
I'll show myself out.
