radbags random game observations from AU

- our dline was getting controlled on the LoS. This was important for tubberville to execute his simple, on the road in the SECOND gameplan
- pouncey had a critical personal foul called on him that killed momentum and he imho, was unjustifiably punished as he sat out and was replaced until the second half. There must of been something else to that because imho, cohesion among linemates is imperative and I don't know why meyer would fuck with that.
- haden was tubbys target ALL NIGHT LONG!!! One critical 3rd down play in the 4th resulted in cox calling a timeout because we switched haden to the left side of the defense which was also the short side of the defense. Didn't matter as they got the first down anyway
- major wright is a baller. May not be as fast as RFN but he is/will be as physical if not more when he leaves us
- tebow was the last to leave the field
- aubbie players mocked the chomp for what appeared to be eternity
- The aubbie fans travel well and their band was awesome. They were loud and appeared to save their loudest for when the clock read :00
- my first night game was a blast nonetheless!
- todd noticed from the get go that rainey was not dressed. We now know its because of a shoulder injury but initially, we thought he was in urbies dog house
- speaking of RFN, hearing he was in town since jax is on bye and hearing he was witness to an apparent shooting in gville traffic at around 2AM
- unrelated to RFN, ms moneypenny of james bond fame died
- the aubbie WRs are big and physical. Those quick slants were good calls as haden and wondy were playing off the line all game
- liked the CB blitzes we ran on 3rd and longs but wright was a bit slow in getting to position that had been vacated by haden. In any case, blitz or not, would like to see wright (or jackson or whomever) shade a bit towards hadens side just for support.
- spikes had 10 tackles I think but he probably figured in 10 other plays. He was everywhere and he definitely has a nose for the ball. He does a great job of taking on the block and he's really fast laterally.
- interesting how aubbies first play was a fake reverse and so was ours. I could be wrong but that struck me immediately as if mullen was playing the game
- speaking of mullen, I kept thinking his play calling was a setup for a bigger play. It never transpired sadly enough. Just seemed all the tebow runs (ad libbed or not) were designed to set up the larger play
- great check off by tebow to recognize man to man in the end zone on the ingram td pass. Tebow noticed man on the goal line and we had the advantage there. Good call and good clear out by the wide out on that play. Didn't get name
- how I would love to have that block field goal NOW!!! At the time I had no idea how that would have figured into the final score and how important that would be. Mind you, aubbie was moving the ball at will in the end so mayber it didn't matter after all.
- halo rule.......what's the deal? Tubbs may have had a legit gripe there.
- harvin made the highlight reel AGAIN on another underthrown wobbly deep ball by tebow. Our receivers are making tebow look two dimensional - you have to admit that folks
- speaking of tebow - my father tells me that tebow is considered to be an honorary filipino. We have a family friend who is a director at the gainesville VA hospital and apperently, tebow is a regular visitor. He speaks a regional dialect of the philippines and as well speaks ther national language, tagalog. I'm told that the filipino community calls out to him in tagalog and he almost always ackknowledges in their native tongue. Gotta love this guy!
- holliday on kick/punt return has the responsibity of the kicker and he has to put his hat on that kickers chest more often. The kicker should not be in on any tackles and if you block him physically throughout the course of a game, he may or may not have his wits about him if asked to make a critical punt or kick. Dunno
- lastly, I heard the dustin doe story direct from cody and crystal themselves with my own ears and cracked up hysterically. THAT was funny!!!
