Hater, do you have any proof to back up Kyle's conspiracy theories? These guys are struggling and need help with this one.

According to you guys, all of the following statements are true:

Mark Sanford was just hiking the Appalachian Trail. He said so, so it must be true.
Urban Meyer is heading to Notre Dame. Paul Finebaum said it, so it must be true.
David Ortiz never used roids. He said he didn't before the season, so it must be true.

Discuss.
Exact opposite actually.

taxes are SO high up in canada that gov't sponsored healthcare is better than having to buy it on your own...generally speaking, it's like - "at least we're getting something with our tax dollars"

all that said, people are frustrated...they're beaten into submission basically...beaten that they just have to endure waiting at the clinics 6 and sometimes 8 hours at a time to get chemo.

You know who else was hiking the Appalachian Trail? The Nazis, that's who. Makes total sense, doesn't it? Of course it does.

And Chewbacca lives on Endor. If you believe otherwise, you've been beaten down by The Man.

You can keep calling for this knowing damn well it can't be provided. Yet you dodge the question of why you have so much trust that the data not being collected. This is not debate at this point.

Do you honestly believe that the WH is not collecting the data?

If the WH is not, then I'll ask again, why not just post the facts?

clearly you are VERY tired.

i'm assuming though that you think they're either NOT collecting data or ARE collecting data and are hoping to use this data to help convince those who've been reported that the information they are disseminating are either inaccurate or defamatory in nature....correct?

I'm just waiting for someone to post a single fact to back up the conspiracy theory. I really don't see what's so hard about that. Unless it's just a case of it being very emotionally satisfying to indulge in conspiracy theories.

since it's just you and me now, what do you think they'll do with all the data they collect?

i'll be willing to take the high road and hope that they're doing this so as to produce some sort of FAQ on the issues...what do you think?

Fact: there's a good chance the program is illegal.
Given the near certainty that no one will be stripping from emails the names of the people forwarding on the information, the White House is most likely engaged in unlawful activity.

According to 5 U.S.C. § 552a, United States agencies, including the Executive Office of the President shall, “maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.”

The White House may take the position that certain of its offices aren’t subject to the Privacy Act (that is a longstanding Office of Legal Counsel position, see here), but most Presidents instruct their staffs to comply. This will be a the first significant time the White House has ignored the Privacy Act and may open President Obama up to litigation.

This is another example of the Obama administration ignoring long time precedent when it is no longer convenient for them. And ignoring this precedent lets them collect data on and potential harass individual American citizens.

Josh, I see no great big conspiracy here. I do see fear of the Government and that is not something that is bad IMO. I think it is a valid question to wonder what the Gov will do with the info. I don't necessarily see this as a 'turn your neighbor in' thing since I can simply forward the e-mails I've gotten but only forward the core text of it and thus only my e-mail address is on the thing.

In case there was ever any wonder as to why I've never paid a whit of attention to Wes's illogical, infantile rantings, there ya' go. Here's hoping you'll get some emotional maturity some day, kid.

All I'm asking for is some evidence, Todd, and none of these cats seem able to provide it. Seems to me, if Obama really wanted to spy on his political enemies, he would just use the NSA domestic surveillance program that W. instituted these past eight years. You know, the one that Senator John Cornyn said was awesome. Seems that would be much more efficient.

Well the fact is we don't know what the WH is doing with that information because they have not told us. What the others are trying to point out is without the proper disclosure (and being that since BHO and the majority of his staff are lawyers they should know this), we don't know what is being done with the information.

I would hope that most people if wanting to participate...would just copy and paste the fishiness into an email and send it from their own personal email. Of course, they have to understand that they have no idea who will now have access to their email address...but if they are okay with that, so be it.

The problems I see is when someone just hits forward and leaves on email addresses from people who have not given permission to collect their address. That is where the "illegal" part comes in. As I mentioned in my posts (which I'm sure you've completely ignored), there are federal laws about data collection and even if you have no ill-will in mind, you still must purge email addresses you are not authorized to collect.

If and when the WH discloses their purging of email addresses process, then I think we'll all have a better understanding of what is going on. We just don't know at this point. And my PERSONAL feeling is they really shouldn't have started this program until they had all the legal ramifications worked out before hand and drafted proper disclosures.
