Day 1 – 197
Day 2 – 194
Day 3 – 190
Day 4 - 187.5
Day 5 - 186.5
Day 6 - 186.5
Day 7 - 186.5
Day 8 - 185.5
pleasantly surprised after having hit that wall...the run last night really did me good...donning my underarmour tights and longsleeve undershirt, florida gator hoodie and sweat pants, i felt like i sweat a couple of pounds last night...spent 40 minutes on the track...jogged a full lap the first time around but was unable to repeat so i walked like 3/4s to 7/8ths and walked the rest then repeated the process for 40 minutes...felt REAL, REAL good.
physically speaking - no hunger pains, no aches and pains...slight soreness in the quads but other than that, no back issues, no soreness in the legs...heart and lungs feel strong...head feels clear...stamina feels improved.
as far as mental - i'm feeling as strong as ever...rosemary made a big bowl of pasta w/sauteed garlic and spinach...filled the whole kitchen with a beautiful, aromatic scent...for me, it was nice but not enough to break the process...i sat at the dinner table and drank my lemonade while everybody chowed down...one thing i've noticed is that the children are more cognizant of portion control...that's a good thing imo...kids are drinking more water too.
cleanse-wise, the salt water flush is going down easier by the day...today it only took me 4 gulps...usually, it'd take me more than 8-10...the senna tea is SO reliable...i will eliminate 30 minutes without fail from the time i get out of bed...so awesome how the body works...the lemonade continues to thirst my hunger and i've actually increased cayenne from 1/10th of a tsp a cup to 1/4 of a tsp per cup...adds a nice lil snap.
tomorrow will be my last day...i know, i know...10 days and i only went 9...i have to cut short because i need to ween off by saturday as i'll be attending a soiree at my boss's residence

better believe it though i'm thinking most of the people at this party'll be old fogey types...boss lives in greenwich, CT and ya gotta a lot of 'old money blue bloods' in that town.

Don't know if there is a word for it but the sound is best described by a hose running into a half full bucket of water from 2 feet up.

didn't make it to the track last night as i ran into a client on my way to grand central and we had a few beers at "the campbell apartment"...well - i didn't have a few beers...he did, i had a few bottled waters hahaa! got home at around 9ish and the lights at the track go out by then so meh.
no change from my last update only to say that i beleive my 'eliminations' are starting to look cleaner (on a relative basis that is)...other than that, i'm continuing to feel real strong...am waking up at 3AM the last several days and have not felt exhausted or fatigued as a result...i'm actually suprised that i'm no longer napping on the train ride home...i'm actually reading stuff and it's kinda new to me.
i'm told that my tastes will change in that i'll actually savor the simplest of foods going forward...a friend of mine who did it last summer went to the ballgame a few months later and said he couldn't enjoy his hotdog...said he could taste the fat in it...says he no longer needs dressings on his salads...if anything, its a light drizzle....really looking forward to experiencing the tastes of food...not to be confused w/a craving...just looking forward to the results.

If you can't enjoy a hot dog at the ballpark, then I don't want to have anything to do with you.

The first time you eat a "real meal" after this, you better have a bathroom nearby.

gonna ween into it kate...orange juice and chicken broth on the first day, raw fruits/veggies (lots of water), the second day...third day the same and the fourth day, anything you like.
point is, with the new discipline, you're not going to want to eat large meals...you'll be more selective as to WHAT you eat as well...

last day and i'm proud to have finished this...last night, i surprised myself by running the track for 30 minutes consecutive...never did that ever.
my stamina is improved, my mind is clear, no longer experiencing drowsy times on the train...tonight - gonna have a bowl of broth...no more senna tea...no more salt water flush...will have some fruits/veggies tomorrow...rosemary's going to the farmers market at dawn for some fresh organics...all is good in the hood.
