In this response to Vanders's post, I remember that PMC and maybe others are friends with Vanders. I don't mean to drag Vanders down as a person. I am sure she can be a wonderful friend. I don't think she's a good moderator of a forum like the Pub.
Personally I believe there are two sides of some of these reasons people were banned and I know another side~ but not every single reason at all nor do I want to.

Like a biblical or constitutional literalist, she believes that repeating the rules in her own voice somehow gives the force of commandment to her misappropriation of them.
I myself have ALWAYS abided by the rules and invited many newbees to the Pub.
Out with the old, in with the new.

Another logical fallacy is the shotgunning of cliches. What exactly does that mean, or how does it apply?
If EVER I was offended by a thread, I did NOT read nor did I post on it. But when some people made PERSONAL ATTACKS on others and were reprimanded over and over and over ~ and they continued to get in jabs that only the people directly involved understood. Believe me I'm on here enough , I saw it all.
When pictures were taken from the Pub Album and posted on other boards with vulgar slanderous, Tasteless comments~ those posters deserved a ban. It is called harassement.... and punishable in many ways in a "real world."
Anybody else get the sense that these "attacks" are the most exciting thing for her?
Honestly, I miss some of the characters too~ for they added spice and laughter

adding spice, please do me a favor and put a bullet in my head.
But when it became a personal thing and hateful. .. I don't miss that. Those characters were warned and If I recall they even told me how many times they were warned.
This reasoning neglects the extent to which a place like the Pub IS personal. It is frequently about nothing EXCEPT personality. I agree entirely with her that attacks upon others are inappropriate. But Vanders and others mistake complaints about their policies as personal attacks. My posts about the rep and other changes in the pub were very deliberately written to avoid attacking or even naming other posters, and yet (in the pub thread and in other puritan responses) they were misunderstood and to this day are memorialized as attacks.
In other words: control freak, and control freak who can broach no "variety," whose enchantment with "spice" is entirely false.
We all should appreciate the mods who stood up for RIGHT~ they took a beating at many levels.
For RIGHT, whatever that is, though whatever it is, she defined it.

I appreciate Gator Country for taking a stand and like any society YOU BREAK THE RULES YOU PAY THE PRICE. I may not be the favorite person/poster, but I rarely if ever get into anyone's crap and post things like this ~~~but some things just need to be said and the whining needs to stop.

The whining needs to stop -- her sense of irony is not strong.
It is time to rebuild and let's rebuild with some threads~ go at it, post what you want the pub to be~ and see what stays alive and going.
Now this is a disaster and she is the helpful folks at FEMA.
Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job.
This is your chance to make the PUB filled with a variety and let's not let the character disappear.
Some character is more equal than others.
