Marlins started the year off by striking out reyes with our piece of shit opening day journyman pitcher. was a good way to start a season destined for shame.

Go Fish!

Urap are you a Marlins fam or just a Mets hater? If you really are a Marlins fan then I can get you the hook up. One of my clients has tickets in the Batter's box for all of the Marlins games.

The Batters box are the huge blue leather seats right behind home plate. To get to your seat, you walk into the players entrance and security escorts you past the owner's office and both WS trophies. You continue past the Marlins locker room and walk onto the field and thru a chain to get to your seats. It is an incredible experiance, especially if you have a son. Let me know if you are interested Urap and I can hook you up.
i'm a baseball fan in general, but a big marlins fan. i go to about 20 games a year. those seats would be killer!

Looking through the braves bullpen now...definitely below average, IMO...Soriano is pretty good, but he's not a shutdown closer. Boyer is coming off major surgery, Ohman walks too many guys for a reliever (solid K rate though) and isn't anything more than a situational lefty. I have the sinking suspicion that Acosta is washed up at the ripe young age of "27". Moylan...has the potential to be at least serviceable and possibly solid in the setup role. Don't know the other guys, haven't really seen them at all.

Acosta is the asshole who gave up 4 runs on two homers in the 8th

lets do somd fair odds:

vandenhurk 2008 salary: $390k
martinez 2008 salary: $14M

therefore, i get 36:1 odds for betting on vandenhurk led marlins. i'll take that bet!

Braves finally take one w/ an offensive explosion in the 8th.

10-2 win tonight...Tex finally got going, Chipper had a few RBIs, and the bottom of the order hit well...

maybe this will get them going...plus the rook jurrjens pitched well, and the much anticipated return of Mike Hampton is tomorrow.

I'm watching my Dodgers play the dirty-ass Giants on DirecTV. They have a special where they show ALL MLB GAMES the first week to promote their Extra Inning package. Watched my AL team - the O's - come back on Tampa in the 8th just before that. Life is good.

AA: Nope. Changed my mind and decided to be a good little boy and save my wallet (and liver) for Friday in case I go to Turner Field.
Hater: Is that a flat $12 or $12 per month?
