So I just watched...
are we sure that Kate's Aaron is Claire's Aaron? Why would Jack have trouble seeing Aaron? Are we sure this isn't Sawyer's and Kate's kid? And for some reason she named him Aaron?
I can't really think of why, but who knows? Maybe they just did all that stuff with Sawyer and her thinking she was pregnant to make us all suspect in this episode that her son is theirs and then the big reveal at the end was all that much more revealing.
This show confuses me. But I tell ya, I'm not totally happy with the idea of Claire being separated from her son...I'm not going to be okay with anything happening to Claire either. But then again, she would be Charlie I guess.[/spoiler:3dhdn693] I just hate things were moms and kids are traumatized...it's why I don't watch ER anymore.

Yeah, I'm pretty certain that
Kate's Aaron is Claire's Aaron.[/spoiler:73a2m341] I mean, there were
all these comments about how Kate might be pregnant and Claire tells her that she should try having a kid, etc.[/spoiler:73a2m341] Looking back, it was pretty obvious foreshadowing.
It seems to me that, in the flash-forwards, Jack is actively trying to avoid
any mention of going back or even acknowledging whatever happened on the island. That's why he doesn't want to see Aaron. Aaron is a reminder that there's unfinished business to take care of, that he feels like he betrayed the folks he left behind. He doesn't realize it until the flash-forward that we saw during the Season 3 finale.[/spoiler:73a2m341]
I have a bad feeling that Claire is going to die, which really sucks because she seems to be the only truly innocent main character. There's nothing in her past that indicates that she's a bad person, she hasn't taken an active role against the Others or against the island or against her fellow castaways, and she was victimized in the first season. I've seen a spoiler on the internet that says that
she gets pushed out of the helicopter.[/spoiler:73a2m341] I don't know if it's true or not, but I don't like it. Plus, I think she's hot as all get-out.

That wasn't Disney Ihate...but Doc...my mother-in-law to this day has a problem with Disney movies because of Bambi. She seriously thinks it screwed her up when she was little. The woman is an over-the-top worry wort...I mean seriously. She always says she had three kids because if she had only had one he would have hated her for smothering him so much. This way she was able to spread it out among the three of them. I love her, but she is nuts.
I can't think of any recent Disney movies where a parent or child were killed...I mean animated Family movies. Don't bring up the Miramax or Touchstone films please.

I forgot to mention this last Saturday after I watched Thursday's show. I'm not ashamed to say I cried at the end.
When Desmond finally talked to Penny and told her he loved her and he would never stop trying to get back to her, and she replied that she would never stop looking for him[/spoiler:1m94xbqj]
I just love all that time travel stuff too...very interesting. I loved that episode even though there was hardly any other characters other than Desmond.

That was one of the best episodes in recent memory. The whole Desmond/Penny thing is a way better love story than any of the Kate/Jack/Sawyer/Juliet drama on the island.
And the whole
time travel[/spoiler:18l0rflh] thing gave it just enough WTF to get me through the week.

You guys are cracking me up....
I didn't think that the constant had to be an emotional attachment...just someone that he knew existed in both times and would be there for them at both times. Who else in Desmond's life COULD it have been if not for Penny. In Daniel's case, that is only person he knows that exists in both places, so it makes sense to me[/spoiler:dekfy3y1]
But I love a1's whole thing about
McFly...hilarious![/spoiler:dekfy3y1]
I agree about the love story with Desmond and Penny...very touching and it just plain grabs me more than the love triangle thing.
So you see what this could be setting up--Des needs Penny as his anchor; Dan now needs Des as his anchor. We don't know who the remaining members of the Oceanic 6 are, but neither Des nor Dan have been revealed as survivors. This time travel thing may play a role in what happened to the rest of the group. Amirite?[/spoiler:3an407vl]

Faraday specifically said:
that the constant has to be something that the time-traveler sincerely cares about. So it can't be just any old object or person. It's gotta be something important.[/spoiler:1owg2dzt]

I would wager that it was the chopper pilot (Frank) who opened the door. The 4 freighter people from the helicopter seem to be more like independent contractors than actually with the rest of the freighter people. If you remember back to Naomi's flashback, she had concerns about them that she expressed to the mysterious black guy (Abaddon?).
Miles, Charlotte, Daniel and Frank don't appear very hostile - but they have a job to do. Well, Miles is kind of hostile, but he just wants to either complete the mission or blackmail Ben. The other folks on the freighter, meanwhile, DO seem genuinely hostile to the castaways.
Michael will be back this season, and there's a lot of speculation that he's Ben's man on the boat. I don't think that's the case, but he will make an appearance in the next few episodes.

Ah well...I should have known Doc would correct me. Who knows then?
Interesting about Michael coming back...all this time travel stuff would explain why Walt is so big now...I guess that works for the show's filming schedule as well as the plot. LOL

Doc, I need your help in understanding tonight's episode...
Doesn't Ben know who Desmond is? And if he does, wouldn't he have a file on him too? Why didn't he say anything about Penny since he knows who her father is? And who by the way, DOES know about Penny besides Charlie...Hurley maybe?[/spoiler:2evpfg2c]
Also, I am concerned from for Sun and Claire...the moms of course. And who is the familiar face...I'm assuming Michael and I'm assuming HE is Ben's guy on the boat...i'm pissed that they made it seem like Ben was going to tell US as well as Locke and we didn't. I think that it must be Michael because why else would Locke have let Ben go like he did if Ben didn't share something really good?[/spoiler:2evpfg2c]

I'm so Lost. I need to watch last week's episode, and then I'll read the posts here. Could this show be any more complicated?
And, I'm sure ya'll caught that reference to "Gainesville, Florida"....the mold that looked like Jesus attracting more than 5,000 people....What if this is some weird thing that will resurface later? lol....
I thought, of all the cities to name, they use Gainesville. ?????

BG watched tonight's episode, and, at about halfway through, said, "This show is about to lose me. They keep bringing up new questions and new characters without answering any questions. It's annoying." He's always been a fairly devoted fan, so he must be annoyed.
I liked how they teased at the beginning that it was Juliet who was the sixth member of the Oceanic 6, only to reverse that. Clever, but kinda pissed me off in a way.[/spoiler:3v5v8cyq]
And you gotta dig that they used Gainesville, FL as the place where a vision of the Virgin Mary appeared. Contrast that to the fact that previously they used Tallahassee, FL as the home of Locke's evil dad. There's gotta be a UF grad on the staff of writers. That's just too blatant and hilarious.

The guy on the boat..... when ben told him to sit down.... I started to wonder if it was Echo or the guy that fell out of the plane (you know the sister brother deal)
Great show, I liked how when Jack asked about the shrink. She said "it is hard to be an other"

Yes, I chuckled when they mentioned G'ville and remembered what they said about Tally as well...coinky dink? This show IS so complicated...believe me, if I still had my Gilmore Girls to rely on for my weekly entertainment, I would NOT bother trying to follow this show. But eh, what else do I have to do?
