Tebows first presser in ny live right now...question about trade day and jax...why are u so happy about being a jet as opposed to coming home to jax? He says he has a great relationship with the jet coaches.

Question about his faith and why he's not referred to it at all ... Answer : this ia a football press conf...hardly appropriate though I'm not ashamed about my faith and will talk about my faith at the appropriate platform.

Dirty Sanchez must be pissed.

Says he's here to play football and be the best role model he can possibly be...considers himself a football player first and a qb second

Says he has a great relationship with Sanchez, Sparano, and Ryan and that qb's hang together so much...in the tape room, the locker room, etc and that he's excited because he thinks the qbs here are great and he's got great relationship with all of them...says its very important to have good relationships with the qbs.

Question about media circus and why is it necessary to have a press conf about a backup qb? Tebows says this conf was not his idea...management wanted me to address the media...

Says he has the utmost respect for Denver and wishes them well...says he's got a lot of good friends there still and he'll be rooting them for sure. Never mentioned elways name once...says Peyton manning has always been gracious to him and he wishes him the very best. Says Denver is bound to win a lot of games with him there.

Question: are you upset about the way Denver treated you? You saved their season and if it wasn't for you, they'd not be in the playoffs...answer: I can only control certain things and even then, the great lord my savior ultimately has the final say...I wish them all the best.

He did say Jacksonville is his home and he would be "excited" to have gone there if it had worked out that way, but he does not know the coaches in Jax and he does know the coaches with the Jets and he is "excited" to be working with them.

The fact that he said "excited, exciting" about 45 times during the conference just shows to me how young he is, and espn did a funny video of all the times he said that word. (How do I embed video? I'm feeling stupid AGAIN and heading over to the the tech forum.)

I thought he did a great job during that conference, and I also noticed that he did not say Elway's name even once (I don't think he did?) and he did mention Coach Fox's name and he said Fox was gracious to him, and Fox did not have to do as much for him as he did (during the trade process).

I'm sure some of you are thinking..."Who cares" about all of this, but it just keeps the "football interest train" rollin' for those of us who need some off-season football fun.

I don't think Jacksonville really wanted him. Kahn was telling Gene Smith to go out and get him and I think Gene did the minimum needed to "try" in Kahns' eyes so they didn't look bad as an organization in trying to get the hometown hero and Tebow saw through that thinly veiled attempt.

Again, dumb move of Jax's part - Tebow would have put butts in seats and between that and the marketing and TV boost they would have gotten with him there, Jax could have made a bunch of money.

I also hate to say it, but I cannot root for the Jets, period. I hope Tim does well, and I will root for his success to stick it to the haters. But this Dolphins fan cannot and will not root for the Jets.
