I'm disappointed that we won't get to whoop his ass every year.

Agreed. I wonder what Herbie will say about this. I am a fan of Herbie now, but he was saying how UT is back now.
I am still pissed at this phucktard talking about how Alabama was better coached than we were. If I ever met this guy, I would beat the living shit out of him on general principles.

I wish he had stayed at TN so we could beat the shit out of him every year until he stopped talking trash. He annoyed me more than any other coach (Bowden, Richt, Fulmer, etc.). Something about being an unproven ass bothers me.
Apparently, USC boosters aren't happy about the hire and were the ones making the initial calls to Chow (who happened to be in Florida for a conference). Heard Monte Kiffin will be making $1.2 millllllion and Chow could get up to $1.8 milllllllllion. I know we catch flack for our coaches making a lot, but damn. Those are coordinators!
This will also be interesting... Chow hates Lane. Would you take the money and deal with a dick for a boss? I'm thinking I may get over my issues for $1.8 millllllllllllion.

Chow could basically use it to milk a raise out of UCLA if he wanted to.
How does his dad work for him? How does that work?

I thought somebody posted the question here, but I can't find it. WTF has Lame done that he seems to be so popular? Talk about failing forward. Peter principle at its best.

^^^He hired a fantastic agent...who, btw is rumored to be the agent that Tim Tebow signs with...good for TT...with an agent that can get Lane Kiffin so much attention (as well as Jimbo Fisher), I think TT will come out with enough money to BUY the Phillipines!

Tebow should do just fine in the combines, if he goes. The psych/cognitive testing, a plus.
Someone's give that throwing motion a tinker. I think second round.

Dooley, 41, has been the head coach at La. Tech for three years, compiling a 17-20 record in the Western Athletic Conference.

What is this thing that UT has about the "sons" of legendary coaches?

Toolbag AD at Tennessee is insisting that Dooley was the "first choice." Yeah, sooner or later, after the first four or five guys said hell no, he became the "first choice."
In a week or two, Bette Midler would also have had her turn as "first choice."

First choice? If so that's a pretty bad admission that the bar was set pretty fucking low.

Positive article on Dooley here:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/andy_staples/01/16/dooley.tennessee/index.html?eref=sihp
To paraphrase: Sure, Dooley's not a proven head coach, but at least he's not a lying, cheating asshole like Kiffin.

Funny thing about that, Doc, is that your last sentence pretty much describes the majority of all people, and definitely eveyone on this board.
