i'm just sayin matt...come may 15th, we need to add 16 + 5.5 to the mets OVERALL total versus the marlins OVERALL total...same thing though...it's just easier for me to track i guess.

Sweeeeet! White Sox and Cubs both in first place! Sox are in a suck division and should cruise -- the Cubs are gonna have to have some luck to beat the Cardinals, but ought to contend for the wild card, since the Braves ain't happening anymore and the Marlins are a mirage.

Braves have won 5 in a row and have started to hit the ball again. If they can ever keep their starters and/or bullpen healthy (at least have one healthy at a time) then they'll be a serious contender. Assuming they beat the hapless nats tonight there will be a meeting for first in the NL East between the Braves/Marlins on Wednesday and Thursday. I'm not including the Mets because the Cubs will smoke them again.

The Rays decided to cut Manny some slack and took the day off yesterday.

Cubs just hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th to take a 8-1 lead over the mets (who are homer-less thus far with just one at bat left)

How'd that end up working out for them?
