i've read that he's gone for next year and that he's contemplating transferring to either UF or LSU

any thoughts? i like him. don't know what newton's sitch is gonna be like but i like marve and his guttiness.

he has discipline probs at miami. can't see him doing better at UF.

I wonder how much Patrick Nix getting fired had to do with this. Marve's a Tampa kid and the Tampa media are suggesting the two are related, i.e. Marve is pissed at Randy Shannon for firing Nix.

I think the kid has attitude problems.

Bill said something about how Marve didn't fit in with all the Northwestern gang that has taken over...he was a outsider. That said, Bill said he hopes the Gators don't take him and don't think they will.

Schools commonly limit where a player can transfer, often excluding other schools within their conference.

Shannon took it to the extreme. According to Marve, he was prohibited from transferring to 27 schools.

That included all 11 of the other teams in the ACC, all 12 in the SEC and four others in the state of Florida. Even lower-level programs such as Florida International apparently now terrify the Hurricanes.

He could go Div II and then transfer to UF for one year of eligibility, no?
