uhm, Gone is a republican. I, on the other hand, am a proud yellow-dog democrat. (for you yankees, that usually means I'd vote for a damn yellow dog before I'd vote for a damn republican)

not necessarily so, this time, though.

I would say I'm somewhere between a conservative and a Libertarian. The Republicans really pissed me off
with not making any headway on their promises in the 2004 election, which is why I believe they got voted out
in 2006. Neither party is for a smaller Federal government with less intrusion into people's personal lives.

AA - what do you think about Bob Barr? True libertarian (small "L") or just ex-Republican trying to get some attention?
I don't trust him at this point...his record scares the bajeezus out of me. While I understand that it's rather possible that he came to the light and recognized the broad evils he previously supported, that sort of shift for a politician has to be backed up by a lot of action for me to believe it. I'll always be skeptical of a former federal prosecutor who was the Anti-Drug Coordinator for the DOJ and supported a full federal ban on marijuana for years. Of course, he's backtracked on this position as well and done work with the MPP lobbying against the war on drugs.

He's just too sketchy for me. I resist my tin-foil urges quite a bit but if anyone's a plant in the liberty movement, it's probably him. Just an intuition I get...I could be wrong on all my impressions of Barr.
I've never met a retarded person who wasn't smiling.

In a local restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie.
I laughed as he had given away his political
preference--just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and
explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth
concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to
redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless
guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to
thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more.
The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution
experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did
not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he
did earn even though the actual recipient needed the money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to
swallow in concept than in practical application.

Happy socialism to all, and to all a good night!

Yep. The dead, pets, and cartoon characters will vote like never before. Early, often, and repeatedly.

I also read the fucking news very well. What's going on in Ohio and other states regarding leftist attempts to stuff the voter rolls is criminal. But that doesn't matter to the "Win at any costs party".

What kind of bullshit are you talking about? I also read the news too, and I don't see you very upset about Republican attempts at voter suppression at voter role purging. Talk about doing anything to stay in power.
