Sure we can. Tebow, for all of his greatness, throws an awful ball. But, it does seem to work, so it is hard to bash him for it.

so here's the question....can tebow be successful with a lesser quality of WR's...gotta admit, it takes a good WR to catch them wobbly ducks.

part b to that question would be, can brantley be successful in this offense since he throws a great ball.

I say that Rad gets out to the practice field and tries to catch both of their "balls"...you never know...maybe the wobbly ones are easier to catch? In any case, I could not think of any other QB I would rather have on the Gators!
Okay, let's try this!

Luckily, we don't know how Tebow would be with lesser WR's. Ours are pretty good.

As for Brantley, I am not sure he will succeed in this offense. They ran him 3 or 4 QB draws and he you could tell he wanted no part of it. He ran right into the back of the line and then fell down. JB does throw a beautiful ball though. SOS would cut off both of his testicles to have JB running his offense right now.

SOS courted John Brantley, but Brantley chose Texas first, changed his mind and came to UF. I guess that is probably old news, but your post reminded me of that, TT.

On our local news, I remembered they showed Steve watching John practice here in Ocala. The big rooster came to a hs practice to watch the kid. Must have really wanted him.

Geeze....that still feels weird to think of SOS as a "big rooster." I'm glad we have Meyer, and I'm getting used to seeing SOS coaching for SC, but it still seems a little "off" to me.

Peyton Manning threw a wobbly ball for a while...every QB doesn't throw the ball like Warren Moon. As for the receiver thing, it's not like he's going to be throwing to a bunch of bums in the NFL.

TT, if my memory's serving me well, Brantley looked good toting the rock in high school and should be alright once he gets more reps running the ball when Tebow leaves. Also, the Brantley offense won't be the same as the Tebow offense, just as the Tebow offense differs from the Leak, Smith, and Harris offenses.

i think brantly will be just fine. we won't be able to do the same things as we are now, but we won't have to. leak didn't run very well and our offense was good enough to win a NC. i think JB throws better than leak did, but leak was a very composed player at all times and made terrific decisions when he needed to. if JB has the decision making abilities of leak, he will be very successful.

Just another thought about John Brantley....His grandmother told my mom that the staph infection in John's elbow has really been very painful for him. I noticed that the elbow (right one, I think) was wrapped up during the game. (Miami game)

Just a fyi post. No real relevance to his playing ability when he is healthy.
