Jeremy Brown won't wow you with his size on the field, but you'll always find him around the ball making plays. He doubled as a wide receiver and cornerback in high school and brings the necessary athleticism Coach Bedford is looking for out of his cornerbacks. The extra semester in college may be just what Brown needs to make an immediate impact in the fall.

Q: “How was practice for you?”
A: “I’m just getting used to different speeds. It’s a big difference coming from high school to college, and that’s why I’m here. I want to get used to this stuff. Everybody was just excited to get out here. We’ve been working out hard in the offseason.”
Q: “What has the offseason been like for you?”
A: “It’s been something I never experienced. They’ve worked us hard. I worked as hard as I’ve ever worked. They didn’t work me this hard in high school. I’ve put on 12-13 pounds already since I’ve been here. It’s been really productive for me.”
Q: “What do you like about Coach Bedford?”
A: “He’s a real good coach. He isn’t one to just yell at you. He’s a big fundamental guy. He isn’t going to take us out of our own game though. He’s coaching us to play within ourselves.”
Q: “What’s your relationship with Janoris (Jenkins) been like?”
A: “He’s one of my closest friends. We’ve been roommates here. We look out for each other. We’ve got a lot of classes together, and we go to study hall together. We’ve got a real close friendship. We’re just alike.”
