I choked up the minute they called his name and even more so when he hugged his parents and then over the top when Danny stepped out to welcome him on stage. How incredibly proud his parents must be and as a parent I can only pray that my girls meet someone like him and that my son has half the integrity and strength he has.

He truly makes me proud to be a Gator!!!
Okay, let's try this!

Timmy was all class tonight. It was great the way he handled it and seeing Danny step out to give him a big hug.

I was also impressed with Chase Daniel immediately turning to give him a hug--he seemed genuinely happy to see Tebow win it.

Tim was awesome this evening. What an ambassador for UF.

He's no Eric Crouch.

Congratulations to the guy, and I hope, like Danny, he follows it up with a ring.

i can't see him leaving early. i know it's cliche to say oh, the money doesn't matter to him. but i think Tebow, like he often has, bucks the trend and lives out the idea that money isn't everything to him. i think he has more fun in gainesville than he ever imagined having in life and i think he's a committed guy who NEEDS to contribute to the team. this is HIS team (along with some others, but lets get real). Tebow goes where he feels he's NEEDED, imo.

and besides. when he wins the heisman again next year, he has to come back to try for the trifecta. (except in the end, of course, he'd withdraw himself from consideration because percy harvin is the greatest football player Tebow has ever seen and Tebow can't take the award from him again)

Anyone else catch Johnny Rodgers snapping pics of Tebow as he accepted the award last night. Rodgers had a huge grin on his face, like he was just thrilled to be able to witness this event. Then I read this morning that Rodgers said he wanted to get pictures taken of himself with every previous winner that night--how cool is that? Really shows you how these guys respect one another as members of an exclusive fraternity.

Same for me, Mom7, except for the daughters finding someone like him part of your post. But, maaaaby I'll have some granddaughters and I can hope that they can find someone like Tim Tebow to marry one day.

I was up late last night and ESPN aired the entire show again at midnight. I had to watch it.

It's so great to be a Gator and have someone like him represent us so well! God is good! (Isn't it amazing that all three Gator He15man winners are the sons of ministers? )

Truth.

And let me just say from afar, to those many folks on the Gator boards who were calling for Jeremy Foley's scalp after he -- abandoned by Spurrier in January and bereft of top coaching candidates -- hired Ron Zook in a pinch: kiss my hairy, heavy, large black ass.

Our brand is the NCAA's most valuable, our teams are the defending national champions, our school hasn't faced probation or even major investigation in years . . . . and our AD is the best in the country.

I worked for the UF Athletic Association for six years, tutoring athletes and helping keep the program honest, and I could not be prouder of what it has accomplished, both on and off the field.

Well, no shit, Sherlock. He's a true sophomore. Isn't there a rule that you gotta play for 3 years before going to the NFL?

Very true. As much as I think TT will be around all four years due to his love of UF and the coaches, he's different and the money doesn't mean that much to him, etc, I wonder if the money means more to him in other ways. You know, not necessarily personally but what an NFL salary could provide for his missionary work.

There is. That's why we know he'll be back. The article wasn't really saying it was "news", as in he announced it or anything. The article's about Tebow and just saying it's awesome that he will be around next year.
