Former University of Florida quarterback Doug Johnson stands accused of felony battery by Gainesville police following an attack that left a Gators fan hospitalized, a police spokesman told Local 6. Joe Cappelletti, 28, told police he was a victim of an unprovoked attack right after the UF-LSU game last October. At the time, Cappelletti told Local 6 his nose was broken in eight places and that he required surgery.
There's a joke in there about Johnson not being able to hit anything against LSU, but I got nothing.
Talk about a waste - he was the only Gator QB I actually despise. Did he do anything in the NFL?
He was Michael Vick's backup in Atlanta for awhile. That was back when the Bucs still had a really good defense and Vick got knocked out of a couple of games against them.
Cappelletti told The Sun after the incident that he was walking down West University Avenue near St. Augustine Church around 9:30 p.m. when two women and three men in a rickshaw pulled up. They started yelling at Cappelletti’s group, and one pushed Jamie Davis, Cappelletti’s girlfriend. Cappelletti grabbed one of the men and they tussled and exchanged some words before everyone dispersed.
LOL! A rickshaw? WTF? Gainesville has rickshaws now? Was Johnson pulling it? Is he homeless?
“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.
