Dead.

For those of you who don't know, Harrison wrote some pretty funny sci-fi that I enjoyed as a child. The Stainless Steel Rat series, as well as Bill the Galactic Hero occupied a big chunk of my bookshelf. He also wrote, Make Room! Make Room!, which was the basis for the movie, Soylent Green.

There are some free editions of his work if you're into the whole e-reader thing:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st?bbn=133141011&keywords=harry+harrison+kindle&qid=1345077883&rh=n%3A133140011%2Ck%3Aharry+harrison+kindle%2Cn%3A!133141011%2Cn%3A154606011&sort=price

Deathworld is probably the most popular, although I haven't read it. Yet.
