I don't give a FUCK.What you have to realize is that you have absolutely no clue what it feels like to lose a game like this if it is your alma mater losing. So someone talking shit about "us", "we", etc. with respect to a team that represents a school where they DIDN'T spend four years of their life is a fucking slap in the face. You'll never understand. You happen to like FSU football. I was born Gator by the grace of God and worked my ass off to earn TWO degrees from UF. The "connection" you have to FSU is literally NOTHING compared to what I feel for UF and to see you talk shit about this game is fucking insulting.

LMAO just posted this on my sis-in-law's brother's (does that make him my bro-in-law?)FB comment thread where we're going back and forth:
I've never met a retarded person who wasn't smiling.
Fuck the Noles.
I didn't watch a bit of this game (I'm an admitted wimp). But Bill just gave me the rundown and is reading Fighting Gators now. Todd's comment about putting Brantley is pretty much what Bill texted me during the game.
I don't understand Urban because this is the worst coaching job we've had in a LONG time. If he doesn't at least fess up and admit that he and the rest of the coaches did a piss-poor job this year, then I will have a hard time defending him. I'm with Toothy on that subject.
I cannot see the Noles win...and now way is our chomp just as annoying as their non-stop chant. They do theirs much more and it's MUCH more monotonous.

Truthfully, I don't think this team deserves to go to a bowl record notwithstanding. They have no heart, no passion, an no leadership. Add to that no coahing this year. WTF happened to this team? It truly is like they have all forgotten how to play.
Well, you're gonna have a bowl to suffer through, probably about December 22.
The bowls in Florida are too good for us. We deserve Shreveport. This team is unbelievably bad. And look at the scores against ranked teams this year: so far, 0-3 with a combined score of 49-100. That's about to get worse.
I've been a defender of Meyer this year, but I'm rethinking this. The job has been miserably done. Is he the same coach he was a year ago?
As much as I like Meyer, he has to put up or shut up now! Even watching him on the Urban Meyer show, it's clear that his heart is not in it this year. This is more than just losing Tebow. He needs to clean house, blow up whatever drawing board they have and replace it, or leave. I never thought I would say that, but we cannot afford another season like this. And the sad thing about this is that all bias aside, we had better players on the field
One of the members of my Lone Star Gator Club posted this on FB: a streak that began in the Zook era ended with a record reminiscent of the Zook era
UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE! Piss poor and inexcusable!
If the devil had a name, it'd be Chuck Finley.
Fuck the Noles.
We will no doubt get a bowl, where we will no doubt get another team with a winning record, and we don't beat teams with winning records this year. Which would leave us 7-6. Which would, if it happens, be the worst record since 1987.
Fuck the Noles.
I said in the car driving home today, it feels like 1988 to me. Wish I was still only 23 though...it would make this a little more bearable. LOL
Okay, let's try this!
Fuck the Noles.
Ranked teams: 0-4, 56-131. That's an average loss of 33-14. We are now officially middle of the pack.
Fuck the Noles.
They might be trying to pick on Moses...can't blame'em.
Fuck the Noles.
i just think he's not as aggressive as he needs to be...kinda like trying not to make the big mistake...which he did btw.God, Moses is not very good.
Fuck the Noles.
his confidence was shot BEFORE the game...sorta like in desperation mode entering the game knowing that this is NOT going to be his team next year and that he's got no choice but to play for the scouts for the next team he plays for...having said that and his confidence being at all time lows, he has no shot in hell in making the right decisions out there...he looked tentative all day and even his safety valve passes were off.I never want to see bitchass Brantley take another snap in a Gator uniform.
he's ruined.
Fuck the Noles.
guys...a little perspetive...and mind you, i didn't graduate like y'all did:
lets acknowledge though that doak is a hostile environment for even the most hardened and experienced of seniors...its tough for the coaching staff to settle a team (starting units) comprised predominately of underclassmen
the three qb system is ONLY in place because reed is still learning the playbook and burton is not a capable as needs to be passer...i don't view playing brantley as appeasing the family or any of that nonsense...i just think that brantley knows the book better than any of the other two and he still may be the best passer (which is not saying much about burton and reed...but to be fair to those two - they were thrust into the QB position out of necessity so i'm not being overcritical of a recruited TE and ATH/RB/WR...kudos for them for providing the staff options over brantley at this point)
FSU was motivated and we were not....they were playing for the prospect of winning their division...we were playing for a history that most of these players care not about really...they were playing for recruits...they were playing for respect....we were playing for nothing.
i get the sense that this team has packed it in a LONG time ago...when your staff and fanbase has succumbed to the thought that brantley, the qb to be groomed as the future of this team, is no longer that person, its tough to carry on and be productive for the remainder of the season...i mean, lets face it...the staff failed in that throwing all their eggs in the brantley basket post tebow was a bad decision...it was an unsuccessful thought...unsuccessful assessment of talent...unsuccessful contingency plan (post tebow)...the staff feels (or should feel) as if they've failed and they have...it's tough to feel good about their decision to leverage up on all things brantley once they realized that he is not what they imagined him/the team to be with him at the helm...they packed it in and are dying for the season to be over so they can start fresh...with gun to my head, i'll say they packed it in after homecoming against dan mullen

I would agree Rad about them packing it in. Great post
I would like to see Meyer pull a Donovan and say that this team doesn't deserve to go to a bowl. Yes they are eilgible, but let's face it - they won't win, and barring getting an invite from the Gator Bowl, I don't think many fans will travel to see this team. I certainly wouldn't travel for a team that has no pride in playing. I hate to say that as it makes me sound like a fair weather fan, but it is true.
I just wish I knew what the hell happened. This year is a failure on all levels, and I truly just want this season to be over.

Pretty well said.
I still want to know more about what happened against Bama in Atlanta last year. That game was poisonous. If we'd lost on a last-second touchdown, it would be heartbreaking. But this wasn't heartbreak. It was like learning that something was rotten inside. That team played so faintly, with so little motivation and fire. I mean, it was #1 vs #2 with a trip to the BCSCG on the line. Yes, Bama was a damn good team. Maybe a better one. But the Gators were loaded with men, with leaders, and they brought nothing -- just like they brought nothing to Tallahassee or Tuscaloosa or vs. the Gamecocks. They were a team that hid its face in a fight.

Well said Toothy - I agree. Did we ever learn anything about that definitively?
I also think Meyer was not in the game at all this year. A friend of mine commented that he will consider next year to be Year One of Meyer's reign again and UM will have to prove himself one more time.
With the quality of athletes we have and the recruiting classes we have had, we should not have had this lack of quality this season.

i can't help but remember that these guys (at the time of the bama game) were kinda forward-looking in terms of their potential draft position and what not...playing 'not to get hurt' is not a way to play a championship game...that's all i got for ya homey
Fuck the Noles.
Over on GC, Naphta is talking about some sort of schism amongst some of the team this year. He hasn't posted it yet, and I'm sure that Hater will call it BS because HB calls it BS, but I'll post it anyways once Naphta does.
“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.

not to be overly-critical (and again - i didn't graduate from UF like most of you guys have so take my opinion with a grain of salt if so) but why the whole "i had a down year this year so therefore, i'm not goin to the bowl" mentality? i mean, it's one more game to root the boys on no? one more game that we'd all have decent interest in don't you think? the whole "i'm not going" chatter smells of baby poo-poo....down years come to the best of programs...

* 64 wins in 6 seasons under meyer (10.6 wins a year)

Thanks for your perspective Manny...it helps me sometimes to see things away from my emotional connection to the team. I for one will be going to the spring game simply because of this kid from Haggerty High that will be coming. And he wears Schutt and Bossports equip, so I hope he can tell the UF equip manager to suck it with those crappy Riddell's. But seriously, this kid is awesome and he's coming in January...he is like Tebow on roids.
Okay, let's try this!

You make good points Manny. My comment on not going to a bowl was meant a punishment, not sour grapes. IMHO, this team did not play well enough to deserve a bowl. Just my opinion. I tell you what though, if UM did that, a lot of people would take notice.

I know what you're saying. I have posted much the same point in previous weeks.
But at this point I'm kind of with Slidey. "Prove himself" is maybe not the right phrase. But the guy does not look or act or work like he did in previous years. I don't think it's time (yet) to start questioning his job security. But his job execution has been poor. This isn't just a matter of going 7-5: great coaches have down years. Granted. This team has barely shown up against top opponents. That's worrisome.

The only reason we should accept the bowl invite is to get an addition 4-6 weeks of practice in the hopes that SOMEone SOMEwhere gets their heads out of their collective asses and remembers how to coach college football.
Can't feed 'em? Don't breed 'em. People, dogs, whatever.

I think the reason some folks are feeling this way is the actual product we put on the field this year. It was horrible, IMO. I honestly think the team on the field looked worse than any of the Zook teams.not to be overly-critical (and again - i didn't graduate from UF like most of you guys have so take my opinion with a grain of salt if so) but why the whole "i had a down year this year so therefore, i'm not goin to the bowl" mentality? i mean, it's one more game to root the boys on no? one more game that we'd all have decent interest in don't you think? the whole "i'm not going" chatter smells of baby poo-poo....down years come to the best of programs...

That said, I'm with tip: the bowl is VERY important for next season because it gives us more practice time as a team.
I've never met a retarded person who wasn't smiling.
