I think our D is actually pretty good. When they have to play 40-45 minutes of a 60 minute game because our offense is completely INEPT, then they're going to get gassed and look bad.

Agreed. It is just me or does anyone else just want this damn season to be over with? I haven't been this disgusted with the Gators since the Zook years.

Final record: 7-6. We will beat App State, lose to halF asS U and lose the bowl game.

I took the kids to a late dinner at Chef Mickey's last night and did not watch anything except the opening kick-off. Apparently it was all downhill from there. Bill kept texting me how sucky we looked. It's quite sad. I don't really get upset about one bad season like this, but I DO expect changes to be made to rectify whatever is wrong. Personally, I think it is all in the coaching and the lack of leadership among the players. The coaching should be fixable...not sure how to make a player or two step up and be good leaders.

I completely agree with you Allison. Addazio should go as OC. And we need to recruit some good wide receivers too.

I was willing to the give the coaching staff enough rope to hang themselves and IMO they've done just that. The lack of forward progress and growth on this team is shocking and that's on the coaches.

Talked to my brother this morning, who argued that the playcalling isn't the problem. He pointed out that we were the number 6 team in total offense last year, under Addazio's leadership. I said that even so, the playcalling was roundly criticized last year and the offense did appear anemic at times. It was only the fact that Tim Tebow had an almost-superhuman ability to carry the team on his shoulders that we were able to pull off a 1-loss season.

To which he replied: "So it's the players, right?"

Christ-on-a-crutch! We have good players; we shouldn't need a Tim Tebow or a Percy Harvin to win 10 games a year. Sure, maybe we need players of that caliber to win championships, but this is a school with virtually unlimited resources and has top recruiting classes every year. You can't tell me we don't have more talented players than Miss. State, LSU or South Carolina.

I agree with you, Doc. But for a superhuman player, Addazio would've been run out on a rail last year. He MUST go now.
