I don't think Doc is saying his life WILL be ruined, Rick....I think he's saying that if they had gone ahead with the felony charges, it could have ruined his life.

That was my thought, AA. He doesn't need a felony on his record for something this stupid.

Being reported he was back at practice today. His suspension might be over.
“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.

Read in the Palm Beach Post last night that he's practicing but has not been cleared to play in any games until he does some unspecified things that the coaches have asked him to do to show that he's got his shit together. He's already done whatever he needed to do for his pretrial diversion.

I wouldn't mind seeing him miss the season. But I'd let him back next year. I like the season as a penalty for extreme dumb-ass moves, including DUI and fights in town, if serious harm is not done. Lose the eligibility. If you're a senior, you're done.

Cam Newton, I'm still OK with us having gotten rid of him, even though he's a Heisman candidate and probably a better guy for our offense than Brantley. That was sustained and compounded stupidity, not a short impulse.

i'd rather lose w/dignity than capitulate just because you lost 2 games...the loss(es) have nothing to do w/rainey not being on the team.

Agreed that the losses had nothing to do with missing rainey...and I don't think they're letting him back into practice because we lost two games. JMO.
