I've been more and more interested in the philosophy of Ayn Rand and the who moral selfishness thing. I'm not completely on board simply because they see religion as a "negative" of sorts and I just think that it is the church's job to be socially responsible (not the gov'ts). Anyway, this was an interesting interview with a guy from the Atlas Society. Now I just have to go read Atlas Shrugged if I can ever get the chance. It seems like this philosophy is attractive to many people, whether they are left, right or center.

I've read a fair amount of her stuff and I like it. The Fountainhead is a good book to start with. It's a good story that mixes in much of her philosophy. Atlas Shrugged preaches a bit more and isn't as good of a story. You can sign also check out the Ayn Rand Institute:

I'm a big believer in her philosophy on altruism.

“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.

Funny Todd, because as I learn about her, I thought of you. Just from things you've posted, I guessed you would sort of be in line with this kind of thinking. It's definitely interesting. I've read that Brangelina are into Ayn Rand and Angelina especially has been trying to get a film of Atlas Shrugged made. Don't know if it's true.

I absolutely loved The Fountainhead.
I've never met a retarded person who wasn't smiling.
