Mora at Seattle is gone. Rumor has it the job is going to be Pete Carroll's if he wants it. Another rumor says Kiffin may be up for the USC job (yeah right...hope USC is THAT stupid). I saw Dan McCarney mentioned as a possibility to replace Leavitt at USF...but Bill said they have some good assistants there that would probably do just fine.

Like rad says...love the off-season!

Never got the impression that Pete wanted back in the NFL, but stranger things have happened. No way USC takes Kiffin. That would be beyond stupid.

Apparently, Smart from Alabama has already been interview in case McCarney goes to USF.

What 95 said. Why leave a post where he can go top 10 every year (oops!) for a job that is in the middle third of NFL franchises?

^^^Not to mention he was NOT that good of a coach in the NFL when he was there before. But from what I'm hearing it's pretty much a done deal. We'll see.

Smart was mentioned as a possible replacement for texas tech. The AD at tech is a Bama alum.

You know, it may be that coaching in the NFL is an easier life than coaching at a top-ten program. That's what we may be finding out this winter.

the Seahawks aren't all that bright. at least with Spurrier he was unproven as an nfl coach. I feel bad for the fans in Seattle.
