random thoughts

- hernandez has a LOT of ink
- when i watch brandon james, i just get the feeling he wants to return it every time he touches the ball....in fact, i've seen him over the years try and make plays when the percentages should be telling him to leave it be.
- any one of RBs can be starting and getting 30 touches a game with any other team
- bostic has a good nose for the ball...his lateral movement is quick and he takes on blocks real well.
- deonte and brandon james cost tebow 2 tds
- patchan has skinny legs
- pridemore is stocky
- the foot of that punter for charleston southern must be throbbin like a son bitch.

defense showed nothing from that game
Wondy still isn't a starting CB for a top tier program
Some sloppiness but overall looked good
Hammond looked good

James tends to dance too much, IMO, instead of just hitting whatever holes are there.

Deonte needs to make that catch in the future and I suspect he will. Overall good game, just hope Carl Johnson is OK, and hope that we are never where we HAVE to start Wondy again.

The first one highlighted above is a direct quote of what I said when I first saw him. The second highlighted one is a direct quote from Bill after Deonte dropped the first one.

Overall I'm glad we always play a cupcake for the first game. I would be hating life if we played one of our rivals like FSU/UM for the first game. Need to get all the nerves and the kinks out of the first game and having it be a huge momentum changer is not a good idea IMO.

my impression is that Riley Cooper is one fast SOB. On the KO return he gets a block then comes off that and catches and appeared that he could have run right by BJ.
Moody finally showed me some tough running late in the game.
Our guys need those gloves that Andre Johnson is pimping in that commercial.
Phillips PAT's, only one looked good. The rest nearly missed. Of course kicking that many, maybe he was tired.
Defense was very vanilla, but I expected a little more pressure out of our D-line.

95...I noticed the same thing about Cooper...he looked like he was just jogging next to James on that run back.

i noticed riley getting his helmet knocked off on a play and he STILL kept blocking...in fact, he went aggressive on the guy who knocked his hat off.

i also noticed riley catching 3 in a rowl...noticed him come off the field and puke all the liquid in his stomach

That was gross huh? At first I thought he had taken a swig of Gatorade and spit it out and then I realized he not taken that swig at all. Did he even get off the field before it came out? I hope no one got tackled right on it or anything...ick!

And Riley is one of the guys wearing a Schutt helmet...Bill noticed it get knocked off too...usually it's the Riddell ones that get knocked off easily. Oh well...looked like it was pulled from one of the CS players, but it still shouldn't have come off.

i think it was pulled off...i could be wrong but i think the opposing player yanked it off.

I don't think it was pulled. I think it was just hit by the opposing played when Coop was blocking him. I'll have to check my recording of the game tonight.
