Disney buys Marvel

I'm kind of pleasantly surprised by this...I've always thought Disney needed to get some sort of Brand that appealed to boys (not young boys like Cars and Toy Story), but older boys and tween boys. This is definitely one of those brands (X-Men, Iron Man, Spiderman!).

My only question to our IP attorney is will Universal need to now use a Disney credit on all their Marvel attractions (they have a whole land dedicated to it) and characters? That will be weird...for them. Can't wait to see how or if we incorporate them into the Parks.

Sorry BG...this doesn't include the WoW franchise. LOL

That is going to be weird for Universal. And now Disney tightens it's stranglehold on everything entertainment in the world.

I was thinking about this a couple months ago after a spur-of-the-moment trip to Disney. Where are the Marvel characters at the parks?

Well, I did some searching on the internet and discovered that Marvel sold the Florida theme park rights to Universal Studios IN PERPETUITY.

Disney can't put the Marvel characters in the Florida parks unless Universal agrees.

Let's hear it for lawyers! Hooray!
